- From 8,459.43 Kč per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 427 reviewsChristina came to meet us at the door and was so gracious and welcoming. The whole team there took such good care of us and made a difficult trip (bereavement) much more bareable. The room was so comfortable and decorated beautifully. There's a fully accessible bathroom and lift too which is great and the bed is perfect. The castle has been restored so well and looks gorgeous inside and out. Really recommend having a walk around the castle grounds while you're staying too. The café staff were super friendly and took our drinks to the guest lounge for us when we had family visiting. The food is really nice and they make good hot drinks and the tablet they sell is delicious. They will try their best to help you. We even got invited to watch a fashion show which was cool. Really can't recommend this place enough and we'll definitely stay again next time we're on the island. Everyone clearly loves what they're doing and it really shows. Plus, it's a castle! What's not to like?Guest review byJakNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 95 reviewsThe place to be in Stornoway. A few minutes drive from the city center in a very scenic place overlooking the bay. Felt like home immediately. The rooms were big and very cosy with a lot of storage. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our breakfasts and dinners. We were pleasantly surprised to find fresh breakfast goodies in the fridge which was a nice touch. All in all an amazing place and a great team who were responsive and nice. Highly recommend.Guest review byMouradFrance
- From 4,234.26 Kč per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 589 reviewsIt's a great little place, just a short walk from the Ferry terminal. Their restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday but there was a complimentary bowl of fruit which was a nice touch. I liked that there was a "residents lounge" which, had I stayed more than one night, I would have definitely used it more. It was quiet, comfortable and a safe place to leave my luggage after checking out for the daytime before I got my bus.Guest review byGailCanada

Stornoway is a compact town, with good local pubs and restaurants. Lews Castle and its grounds and museum is well worth a visit. I also went to a folk music concert at the An Lanntair theatre which was excellent (I also enjoyed a pre- show meal there in its Thai Cafe). The whole island of Lewis & Harris is stunning and magical.Guest review byFinlayUnited Kingdom - 2.0

Whoever the owner is of this establishment is he should realise that a manager cannot run the place on his own even in quiet times. The managers approach to his job was perfect and his commitment to the customer was faultless. A person like him could find a job anywhere in the hotel trade these days as their are opportunities by the thousand everywhere. Just shocked to see him serve, clean rooms, do the drinks, serve breakfast and do all the computer work and probably lots of things i could'nt see. Seemed like exploitation to meGuest review byChris - 10.0

The house is wonderful as are the people who look after it - nothing is too much trouble if you have a query or need help with something The property is in a little place called Maraig rather than in Tarbert which is about 15 minuts drive away so trust the post code when it takes you off the Tarbert road!Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Uist Islands were lovely.
The Uist Islands were lovely. We were very fortunate to catch the North Uist Highland Games in mid-July. This is an area for gentle walks and birding. Dining options are good but limited. Definitely a place to unwind.Guest review byFrederickUnited States - 8.0

It’s an ideal location to explore the island with a fascinating history. There’s a cafe, but I didn’t try it. It’s a place going through a change now, with a lot of young trees growing and some pretty gardens.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

For us it was the spectacular views, peace and quiet away from everybody. It’s so easy to get around the islands but you have to travel some miles to get to places to eat, which is not a problem in such a beautiful place.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely accommodation and host.
Lovely accommodation and host. We really liked the communal kitchen which gave you lots of flexibility on when you wanted to eat. It was also nice to meet other guests. Beds were comfortable with nice bed linen and we both had a good nights sleep. We also liked that it was centrally located and easy to get to the other islands. I would definitely recommend to others.Guest review byShonaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Stunning part of the world.
Stunning part of the world. So much more to see than we had time for, a week would have been amazing! Beckett's do a fab breakfast, not many other places open before 9am. Some fab wee gift shops, especially enjoyed the Art Gallery, The Christian Bookshop, The Baltic Bookshop, Hebridean Tweed and Delights.Guest review byNickiUnited Kingdom - 8.0
All towns in Outer Hebrides are very small.
All towns in Outer Hebrides are very small. Daliburgh is a great location close enough to multiple harbours and on the main road. The shop has exceptionally long opening hours and is well stocked (Co-op). Buses are running too and fairly frequently. Good walks nearby.Guest review byJanaUnited Kingdom
