- From £80.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,255 reviewsThe staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a triple and it was spacious enough for all of us, which was not always the case elsewhere in Scotland. In fact, this was the best hotel at the best price in all the hotels we stayed at during our 2 week trip. It was centrally located—near the main streets, train station, ferry terminal, sights, and all the amazing street murals! There is a bus stop right out front that will take you to the old town, but I'm glad we stayed close to all the action. Molly's Bistro was tasty, affordable, and open late—which was great because we arrived late on the train. There's a totally affordable Michelin Star restaurant—called Moonfish Cafe—that's less than a 10-min walk away. We had our laundry done by the hotel. They send it out and you get it back folded and clean within 1 day (or the next day, depending when you drop it off) for only £15-20. Since it was laundry for the 3 of us, it was a bargain! Would definitely return!Guest review byTaraSphereUnited States
- From £230 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 257 reviewsThe best place I stayed in Scotland. Historic countryside house near the Cairngorns with charm and personality and a beautiful garden. Incredible story of the family who owned the place, in particular Lady MacRoberts and her connection to the RAF, which guests can see and feel in the main house. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the Conservatorium (I didn't try the Library dinner, but I guess it is a remarkable experience). Lovely bar, very professional and friendly staff.Guest review byEuricoBelgium

The beach is long and clean.
The beach is long and clean. There is a lot of construction work ongoing at the ice rink and swimming pool. It will be very good. Amustments and funfair open at 10. Ideal for the kids. The City is great for walking with nice parks with mostly clean streets. Of course it has its not so nice parts where the junkies hang about, every major city or town has them. Art gallery and museums worth a visit. loads of eating places.Guest review byBrian StarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Definitely visit the Dyce Carvery they do amazing buffet.
Definitely visit the Dyce Carvery they do amazing buffet. I got the large portion my wife got the medium portion. We got there types of meat (beef, pork, turkey) and multiple servings of accompanying dishes. For a double G&T, large glass of Merlot, sticky toffee pudding and two carvery helpings above it was only £35. Amazing.Guest review byShyam ReyalUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A very scenic town centre.
A very scenic town centre. A good supermarket and several specialist shops (bookshop especially) . just try and avoid the sweetshop (far too tempting) Several nice restaurants and an excellent fish and chip shop. Bike hire by the old station and easy routes along the old line.Guest review byRobinsonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Walking along the sea front was lovely, it's clean and folk are friendly. It's a pebble beach, dog friendly and well used. The harbour area is picturesque, delightful to get a coffee and watch the world go by. It has a small sandy beach well used by families.Guest review byDebbieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I guess it depends on what you are looking for but I really like lossiemouth. It has wonderful sandy beaches and lovely walking trails. Admittedly, the jets from the RAF base can be noisy but, personally, I quite like seeing them and they are not a constant presence. There is no entertainment available, just a peaceful, friendly, place to spend some time unwinding.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I visit family in Peterhead.
I visit family in Peterhead. However, if you are interested in walking and coastal scenery, then Peterhead is for you. As a town, it is not very spectacular, but the harbours and history are fascinating. Peterhead has all amenities and decent pubs and eateries. Easy access to the Moray coast and the highlands. Aberdeen is a short drive. The whiskey trail is also nearby.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved the quaint shops and country town feel of the place.
Loved the quaint shops and country town feel of the place. Knowledgeable staff in the WH Smiths newsagents and lovely lunch at the pancake place and craft shop. Park was a beautiful place to visit and there was a well used Turkish/pizza establishment opposite the road near the car park which we enjoyed eating at. Very relaxing place to stay whilst visiting relatives at the nearby hospital.Guest review byKerryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
