FAQs about hotels on Lanzarote
The Island Out of This Planet
Volcanic Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, features the dramatic landscapes of the Timanfaya National Park and the lush beaches of Papagayo and Blanco. Its out-of-this-world appearance, due to volcanic eruptions of the 18th and 19th centuries, earns Lanzarote a well-deserved spot in the sci-fi film sets list.
The island has the longest volcanic submerged tunnel in the world (1,500 metres), the Tunnel de la Atlantida, which boasts the amazing Cueva de los Verdes lava tube with walls illuminated by coloured lights.
Lanzarote has 213 km of coastline, most of which is rocky and complements perfectly the island’s 2 mountain ranges of Famara and Ajaches. Throw the El Jable desert into the mix and you have one fascinating holiday destination!
With a wide choice of watersports, including scuba diving, parasailing and canoeing, you never run out of things to do. Adventurous types can enjoy a submarine trip or visit the Rancho Texas, a Wild West-themed park.
And don’t forget about the local cuisine, including unique mojo verde or picon sauces and papas arrugadas - a dish of cooked unpeeled potatoes cooked, baked dry afterwards and served with a mojo.
Whichever you choose from the range of Lanzarote’s apartments, hotels or resorts, Booking.com has over 330 properties to suit every taste.

We go to Puerto del Carmen a couple of times a year and find it a great place to visit. It has something for everyone visiting our favorite restaurants like lomo alto, el polaco casa Cabana and a fantastic Spanish restaurant in the old Town called la cascada definitely not to be missedGuest review byBryanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Playa Blanca is much more relaxed than Puerto del Carmen...
Playa Blanca is much more relaxed than Puerto del Carmen which has got a lot busier in recent years with particularly the number of large noisy bars showing football matches on TV and playing loud music and more difficult to park your car in. We used to stay there Pre-Covid but we now prefer Playa Blanca simply because it is quieter.Guest review byROBERT - 10.0
Visited many occasions!
Visited many occasions! not sure why its just grabbed me and cant really point out the exact reason but we go back each year and really look forward to it. you can sit at a bar and everyone moves around to accommodate you and then you can start chatting and having a great night with strangers! Food choices exceptional, great relaxed vibe and plenty of choice for all ages. Beach lovely albeit they have been having problems on the beach beds over the years and on several occasions, and as in our latest visit, they are not on the sand; which is a shame as i like a day on the beach! Stayed in hotels and self catering and there is always loads of choices on what kind of holiday you want.Guest review byHeatherUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The church and restaurants are very close. La minoca restaurant is very good, prices and quality. The cooker Manny is the best, one of the owners is very gentil and cuban waitress are very diligents. Good vibe and environment over there. This restaurant is in San Gines Charco. Ask for a cuban "mojito" and you will remember me. Good luck.Guest review byzorymarUnited States - 8.0

A small town with plenty of people around using the facilities for their daily life. Not a lot of choice of places to eat but enough the fakily run Spanish Taverna was amazing this I would recommend the best value ever and so friendly. Shut on a Sunday so you are warned lol!!!Guest review byflorey - 10.0

Playa Honda is quiet, and more residential, full of lovely locals.... beautiful walks along the beach front, easy access to shops, buses, restaurants etc... not a lot of tourists, so you can appreciate the culture more. Just love it. We enjoy walking, so a nice 40 minute walk takes you into Arrecife, or you can get a bus into Costa Teguise or Matagorda, hire a bike and cycle along the path both ways.... La Opera, Goliath's, Bechamell restaurants are lovely, good prices and lots of choice. It really is a piece of heaven on earth in Playa Honda.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.Guest review byEricaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Where we stayed in Yaiza was very quiet.
Where we stayed in Yaiza was very quiet. A great location for a large group like ours but a must is to have a hire car to enable you to travel freely in and out of more lively areas around the island.Guest review byAlexandraUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Spectacular Position. Great Views. Individual.
Spectacular Position. Great Views. Individual. Peaceful and Private. A car is essential. Not far from Playa Quemada a quiet seaside village with a choice of small restaurants next to the sea. We mainly self-catered which was easy in the well equipped kitchen which included a dishwasher (and tablets)! Hint: Shop on the way to the property as there is nothing anywhere near it.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
