Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)Guest review byOliviaUnited States - 6.0
A city famous for its castle.
A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.Guest review byJanCzech Republic - 10.0
Beautiful location, fun bungalow.

Absolutely worth a visit for anyone who has not been before.
Absolutely worth a visit for anyone who has not been before. The perfect addition to a Copenhagen trip as it is not far and you can drive back along Strandvejen, the coastal road all the way back to the city via some wonderful stops. Enjoy!Guest review byAnabelleUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Tisvideleje is a nice sleepy town in North zealand.
Tisvideleje is a nice sleepy town in North zealand. Perfectly suited for us who wanted relief from city’s hustle bustle . Well connected from Copenhagen by train to Hillerød and then by the lokalTog. Nice beaches(not exotic but quiet), clean water, abundance of nature. There is a nice bakery ( Brød & vin ) baking fresh breads and brewing fresh coffee which I strongly recommend for your perfect breakfast before heading towards beach😊. If someone keep bonus day can well plan for one day trip to nearby Fredriksborg Castle ( can get down at slotpavilionen or hillerød station) as well as famous kronoborg castle at Helsingør. DOT mobile app( for LokalTog) is very helpful in this regard to buy train/local bus tickets at your will.Guest review byAnirbanSinghaSweden - 10.0

Historic buildings extremely interesting, nice architectural design of the town, close location to many potential places worth sightseeing. A little bit too poor availability of restaurants, in particular on weekends. Very unfortunate system of payment for parking lots in town, complicated in operation and not always working. Personally I was very displeased with necessity to install mobile apps.Guest review byMirosławPoland - 10.0

The restaurant offered original dishes created by the in-house chef. We had the special of the week which was chicken in a delicious cognac and mustard cream sauce. There were also many other options to choose from including the house burger and french fries which looked very good too!Guest review byChristinaDenmark - 10.0

Helsingør is a lovely town with beautiful medieval buildings, lots of nice shops, cafes and restaurants. It's by the sea, so has it's own beach, a large castle, museums, bike hire, a cultural centre and it's very quick and easy to go to Copenhagen by train, or to Helsingborg by ferry, or to visit some of the nearbypretty coastal villages by bus or train.Guest review byMalinUnited Kingdom
