The lady at the reservation desk was so helpful and friendly. She helped us for early check-in, properly described everything we need to know at the hotel. Breakfast was perfect. There was almost everything that you would want for a breakfast. Room cleaning was good. Even on our last day they clean up the room. The location was suberp. Pier for the island cruises in walking distance.

I have marvellous vacation here in November. It is an adorable small family-run hotel located on the lake where graceful silence and peace envelops you. Close to ferry connection to the islands Herreninsel, Fraueninsel. The room where I stay was cozy, comfortable, fantastically clean, spacious, with modern & pleasing to the eye style. I enjoyed lovely breakfast — its selection is delicious and varied. Comfortable bed, great shower, daily thorough cleaning… The staff is incredibly helpful, radiant & nice. Thanks for the German hospitality and warm welcome! Got a feeling like I’m at home.

The breakfast has a lot of choices for vegetarians! One of the best breakfast buffet I ever had, so impressed! The room is very comfortable and had a sunset view, perfect and convenient location for any Ludwig II fans who love to go to Herrenchiemsee.     Nice place to unwind, must not skip the Herreninsel and Fraueninsel! Make sure you have a day to spend to visit Schloss Herrenchiemsee!!! Eat lunch at Klosterwirt or zur Linde in Fraueninsel and bring enough cash to buy some souvenirs at the Klosterladen. Ps: wait until sunset by the beach and wake up early to smell the fresh breeze near the lake.

    A must-visit place, recommended for all seasons as each carry a different beauty and personality of Chiemsee and its surrounding locations. Take the boat and enjoy the ride to each Island. Walk around Fraueninsel, have a meal at Herreninsel after visiting the Castle. Walk to the water in the summer. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! Enjoy the beauty of Bavaria!

    I think you can tell that Traunreut did not exist before the war. There seems to be important industry but few people on the streets. Somehow older places often seem to have more soul to them. I went there for a quiet time (meditation) for which it was fine.

    If you need a rest in a spiritual and historical uniw´ques place, do not miss this one on the lake. Historical cloister, very nicely restored, comfortable and clean with preserved "genius loci". Friendly welcome and business services. Great breakfast with local food (bread, honey and pretzels). You can taste localy brewed beer as well. Free coupons for local tourist services: discounts and free access. Excelllent WiFi connection.

    A good base to explore the region. Beautiful views. Plenty of things to do and see. The Ludwig II Palace, great beer, lovely quiet lakeside places to chill. Cycling around the area popular and lots of trails which are largely flat. Also a direct hourly train service to Munich and Salzburg if you fancied an excursion. You can find plenty to do for a week.

    I went for three days but at the end I stayed only two. The rooms do not have AC unit and temp inside was about 26°C (79°F). The rooms are old and outdated, smelly and dusty. I had to leave after the second day and they still charged me with the third day. Bad hotel... Bad hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

    The historic steam tram ride to the Port was fun . Tickets for train snd ferry services at the station - near the main train station. We only had 2 day do visited just 2 islands but I think an entire day hopping on and off at each town would be wonderful. Be aware that bus/train/ operations seem to stop about 7 and taxis were not answering ( though it was a big football night) We had a long but very pleasant walk back home. The palace & gardens ? Stunning!

    A really nice resort town.

    A really nice resort town. The boat trip to Herrenchiemsee is a must along with a tour of the palace. If you have the right weather be sure to swim in the lake - wonderful and refreshing. There is a good selection of restaurants. A beautiful location to visit.
