Wonderful placement of our bungalow, right on the edge of the valley, with beautiful views (when clouds allow). The garden is magnificent and the focus on nature and birds watching (lots of hummingbirds) fitted our expectations! Good food in the restaurant. And the excursion to see the Quetzal was successful!!!!
Wow what an awesome place! regretted not staying more nights... Very nice location, lots of animals (saw toucans and hummingbirds very close from our window), quiet, spacious, amazing bathroom and best view of the entire trip. Great host, breakfast, pool! Parking space!
The breakfast was great.
The location was perfect especially for birdwatching and our room was a little cabin in the woods with an outdoor shower as an option and a view of a wonderful waterfall.
Perfect view, a lot of space, 2 Bedrooms, well equiped, very clean, washing mashine, parking place, good breakfast, the nature around. We would stay longer😀
Very nice place to stay at, the owner was really flexible with our arrival, the place was great and with hot water in the shower. We highly recommend it !

Great place to stay outside of San Jose if you have a few days. There is a nice diversity of things to see, all in a loop if you want to.
A number of national parks for hiking and sights (Tapani and both parts of Irazu Volcano - Crater Sector & Prussia. Note that the two Irazu sectors are over 10 miles apart and very different. Crater is basically just that and $15 plus they don't tell you it's $5 more to park when you get there. The crater is empty of water, and has been for many years, don't believe the photos, they're old. The hiking in Prussia sector was superb!
Additionally, the Orosi Mirador is nice (free), the oldest church in Costa Rica (Ruins - Free), crafts, and the Lankaster Gardens were beautiful. Lots of options for food in Orosi itself.

The lodge is right next to the forest with several walking paths to explore for different levels of difficulty. Tres de Junio is also centrally located between San Gerardo and Santa Maria de Dota, thus making it relatively quick a visit to both as well as other National Parks and trekkings (Tapanti, Los Quetzales and Cerro de la Muerte). Plan for at least 3 nights stay.

5 mins drive down the road from Escalar Cachi, the local climbing area -- basically an outdoor climbing gym, with potable water, toilets, guides, top ropes on most routes, a swimming pool, and a nearby river too. Also includes a camping area.
25 mins drive from Paraiso, 1 hour from Volcan Irazu and the Prusia sector forest. A bit further from Turrialba, which was closed due to volcanic activity / covid when I visited.

A peaceful spot in the mountains.
A peaceful spot in the mountains. It’s a working farm with very friendly owners. We went horseback riding in the trails and enjoyed the home cooked meals. The perfect place to get away and relax with a book or a friend or a bottle of wine or all of the above. The last few km of the road on the ride up is unpaved, rocky and uphill — drive slowly and you will get there!

A small, compact, friendly village in a picturesque valley with easy access to a lovely national park (Tapanti) with its own river.
It has it's own public pool and hot springs run by a local hotel.
Some good restaurant choices available.
Easy access to other areas (Paraiso, Cartago, volcanoes)
