- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 499 reviewsWe had an amazing stay at Hotel Pascual Andino - from the beautiful spaces and expansive complimentary breakfast to the surprise wine & cheese sundowner and fantastic location just a block or two away from the Main Street of San Pedro de Atacama - everything was so wonderful. Plus, the staff are the Hotel’s greatest asset! We had a major issue with our rental car, and the Hotel staff - particularly Andrea went above and beyond to help us sort it out with the rental company and organised our transfer to Calama for our flight. It’s an incredible place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama, you’ll be so glad you booked it!Guest review byLisaAustralia
- From £147.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,554 reviewsEverything about our stay at Ckoi Atacama was perfect. We arrived after a 4 day trip in Uyuni and were looking for somewhere we could relax for a couple of days. The staff were very kind and helpful. From letting us check-in early to providing us with advice related to buses or tours. The accommodation is very welcoming with lots of common areas to just chill out whether it’s by the pool with the llamas, building a fire in the fire pit or in the lounge area. I loved the added touch of all the fairy lights and heaters. Breakfast was great and beds were very comfy.Guest review byClarkeSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 602 reviewsMost importantly the staff was amazing, every single person we met in the hotel was friendly, professional and very attentive to any of our possible needs. Then the design of the place is exquisite, the common areas, the restaurant, the pool, the room, everything is done with attentions to details; Finally the little attentions like sun cream at reception, balm lips in the room, spare of towels to go on expedition to the termas, umbrella for unexpected rain, breakfast to take away on a day trip. It comes with a price but you will not regret it,Guest review byChristelleChile
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 27 reviewsWow! We were amazed on an arrival (thank you Chris you star) to departure! The staff were all amazing, I wish I could name everyone individually but they were so helpful, thoughtful and attentive, truly 6* service. The food and drink were of an incredible high standard and great variety and choice. The Knowledgeable guides (Gaspar and team) made our trip with the remarkable excursions. Once is a lifetime experience!Guest review bybernadetteUnited Kingdom

The surrounding attractions are amazing.
The surrounding attractions are amazing. So many to explore. The drawback is the town itself, made so by the very fact that it is built around tourism. Must sees: Laguna Chaxa, Valle de Jarre, Valle LunaGuest review byJonathanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is a charming little town with lots of character.
This is a charming little town with lots of character. It is also central to many wonderful tourist attractions, with many tour agent offices in town available to assist with activity planning. I spent 3 days here but could easily have spent 6 or more days here.Guest review byJonathanAustralia - 8.0

San Pedro is a small town with dirt roads and seasonally a lot of tourists from all over the world. It is a useful base to come back to from day-trips and excursions some of which can be an entire day's drive to and from the locations. People are knowledgeable and welcoming, but you have to practice some discernment about which tours to pick and how much you're going to pay because there are more than one hundred agencies operating similar tours and competing for your business. I personally recommend Atacama Rock and Tour for putting on an astronomy tour when most other agencies refuse to offer it during the Full Moon cycle. I also recommend the French Patisserie on Caracoles Street (the main drag) for the best hot chocolate and surprisingly good soup and baked goods. Do your research in advance or you may feel overwhelmed by all the choices and details of the many tours on offer. You don't need to rent a car like I did in Calama although on a few occasions it was convenient to take my own self-guided tours. It's about one hour's drive to San Pedro from the El Loa Airport in Calama. Getting around San Pedro on foot is fairly easy though it can be very hot (high desert) during the day and very cold after the Sun goes down. Also, you might like to have a face mask with you because some unpaved roads produce a lot of dust when drivers pass by at high speed. There are ample taxis available as well as bicycle rentals if you don't have a car. There are plenty of opportunities to socialize if you travel solo, although you may have to be the one to break the ice. Speaking fluent Spanish was a huge advantage.Guest review byAnthonyUnited States
