A very wonderful hotel, the staff are all wonderful, without exception, and the owner of the place is beautiful in appearance and manners. I booked on the wrong date on another day and she tried to help us and helped us get in early and gave us an upgrade. The breakfast is wonderful and the view is amazing. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful place and I will definitely come back again.

The room was nice; although not what I expected (like new age hotels). But the fact that it was right in the center of the old town (stone paved roads and classic restaurants), near a bridge on the river Aare, and the schloss; it offers great mix of old town vibes and near by you could find modern restaurants and supermarkets. Unfortunately the day I stayed here was raining; we wished to have visited this place during a sunny day. Right near the hotel is a city square (stone-paved) with a fountain in the middle; and a view (and stairs) of the schloss. The hotel itself is in a great condition, despite being an old but very beautiful building. The stairs, windows and the room itself will give you a good vibe.

Beautiful hotel with the character - loved it from the stairs to the view on the castle. We were lucky to have a spacious corner room with 4 windows - full of light and fresh air. Located right next to the old center and convenient parking (reasonably priced and discount is provided from hotel), bus stop is around the corner - connecting to Train station and Spiez. Breakfast is beautifully served in the restaurant, selection is limited but enough. Regret we stayed just 2 nights.

Hotel Alpha Thun exceeded my expectations, the bus stop to thun train station is just outside the hotel. The lake is just a few steps away.The staff made you feel like family. Its centrally located and thun is such a magical place. The rooms are clean and fresh. Everything was perfect, the room was really spacious and clean, with all the necessities. The staff is very professional, kind and very helpful. Also all the other parts of the resort are so relaxing and for sure I want to go again and enjoy the pools and sauna because I didn't have enough time to do it. I just love that place 💕

The atmosphere and view are fantastic. The room is very clean and comfy. The staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful. To be here is worth my money and the village is not busy like in the city, good breeze. I wish i could stay here longer it's such a great hotel in such a lovely village.

Dinner on the lake, afternoon tea at Schloss Schadau, downtown area by the river. plenty of scenic side trips like the funicular up the Neisen and the Thunerseespiele (musical presented in an outdoor theater overlooking the lake) and plenty of other things to se and do

The hotel is in the most perfect location for a fantastic view of Lake Thun and the mountains surrounding it. All the staff are extremely friendly and spoke good English. A very traditional Swiss hotel with balconies to many of the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

An Amazing view with best panoramic view of the lake and mountains. Plus bonus view of the dears grassing in the early hours. The chalet have everything you need at top quality. Do not miss the nearby easy hike with wonderful views of the woods, fields and lake. It’s an experience to treasure. The chalet is Easy accessible and near all what you need . Oberhofen is fantastically located, especially for a hiking holiday – it is a quiet, charming village with excellent boat and bus connections to Thun and Interlaken. There are several very nice restaurants and bars, some right on the lake with magnificent views.

Lovely lake side location. Very quiet and peaceful but 8 year old granddaughter felt very comfortable with lots to do. Staff very helpful with our travel party of 2 seniors, 2 adults , 8 year old and 6 month old. Local bus service outside the door to Thun and Interlaken made it easy to get around…also complimentary bus tickets available from the hotel. Very small rocky beach but still managed to get some lake swimming in. Grandaughter loved looking for sea glass. Restaurant good with lots of choices. Loved sitting outside with the lake and mountains all around.

The location, the hotel staff, the spa facilities, the wonderful spa treatments, the delicious food and excellent waiters and waitresses, the ease of transport by bus or boat (free bus ticket provided plus discounts on activities in the area)..... the list goes on and on. Most importantly we came home relaxed and rejuvenated from this lovely experience.

Downtown Thun is absolutely beautiful! Mountain and lake views abound! Lots of wonderful shops and restaurants to choose from! There is also a castle located right in the downtown area! A very nice place to tour!

Sigriswil is the place locals go to. In other words, not a tourist trap. Perfect view of the lake of Thun, Eiger North face, Monch, and Jungfrau mountains. Everything within walking distance, and the public transport is awesome. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall... this place has it all.

Hot tub was not working coffee pots was not enough.no shampoo or conditioner given. cleanness was not up to the normal stander very disappointing experience with the host

Amazing alternative to Interlaken.
Amazing alternative to Interlaken. I felt the hotels were more beautiful and a better value. Less tourism, so our visit was met with so much more enthusiasm vs. Interlaken, where lots of tourism seems to be met with annoyance by the locals. Loved Thun. So beautiful and peaceful. Just a short 30 min train ride to Interlaken.
