Perfect location, just far enough away from the busy life in Saas Fee to experience the tranquility of the woods. Beautiful views of the Weissmies and the valley below. Excellent kitchen and an impressive wine cellar. Nevertheless, it was the friendliness and personal attention from everyone in the hotell staff that made the biggest impression. Top notch!

Wonderful weekend at Alpine Elite Lodge We had the most amazing weekend at Alpine Elite Lodge! Everything was just right, from the cozy yet luxurious accommodations to the top-notch amenities including awesome breakfast, spa&sauna and late check out on Sunday. The attention to detail throughout the lodge was truly impressive and made for an exceptionally comfortable and relaxing stay. What stood out the most was the service - it was simply outstanding. The owners were not only professional, but incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcome and cared for. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base from which to explore the stunning alpine surroundings, Alpine Elite Lodge is an unbeatable choice. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something truly special. The warm and genuine hospitality of the staff made us feel welcome immediately, as if we were old friends rather than first-time guests. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely outstanding – fresh, flavourful, and clearly prepared with love and attention to quality. The spa treatments were exceptional, and the personalised care and attention made all the difference. The rooms were spotless, cosy, and elegantly decorated, blending modern comforts with a charming, homely feel. If you’re visiting Saas Fee, don’t miss the opportunity to hike one of the beautiful trails back to the hotel – it’s the perfect way to enjoy the stunning scenery before relaxing at the spa. This is more than just a hotel; it’s a sanctuary for anyone looking to truly unwind. We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a personal, heartfelt wellness escape.

The room was very big, making it comfortable to stay for multiple nights. Breakfast and dinner were included which is excellent if you are in the area to go skiing - there is no need to leave the hotel again to find food. The food at dinner was also delicious. There is a small spa which is amazing after a day up the mountain and a great way to spend time in between coming down from the mountain and having dinner. I will stay here again if I come back to this area.

Stayed with my 3 kids for skiing for 4 days. Non fussy and family friendly. Complimentary afternoon tea was what we really enjoyed after skiing and were we got to relax at the fire and enjoy a game of chess cards and the use of their baby grand piano, next time we will be taking our practice sheets. Staff were just lovely. We will be back. Great value over all

It's a nice place if you know what you're doing (hiking / climbing / etc.) but the village is small and the choice of restaurants is extremely limited. Saas-Fee provides much better options but the buses don't run too often in the evening -- plan with care.

The location is great - at the end of a valley surrounded by mountains - and it's high, very high, which is perfect for late-season skiing. The village is at 1,800m, the top is 3,800m and the "world's highest revolving restaurant" is at 3,500. You can ski continuously all the way from the top to the bottom, with the majority of runs being wide reds and, because of the altitude and north-facing aspect, even at the start of April in brilliant sunshine, the snow hadn't turned to slush by my last run down. There are nursery slopes next to the village but, piste-wise, it's really more a resort for intermediates, as you need to go on some (admittedly easy) reds to get to the few blues up the mountain. Off-piste skiing looks great, but I'll leave it to better skiers than me to assess how it compares. The village is car-free, but with little electric buggies run by the larger hotels and for deliveries, and pretty compact with a decent range of shops, restaurants and bars. Access is easy - direct train from Geneva, Zurich or Basel airports to Visp then connecting bus up the spectacular valley.

Saas Grund is a small village in the Saastal.

Saas Grund is a small village in the Saastal. The Post autos are going mostly every 30 minutes through Saas Grund to Saas Fee and Saas Almagell . The Saastal card does help you to go around free on the cable cars and Postauto . There are plenty of hikes everywhere . From easy to difficult and expert . In Saas Grund are 2 supermarkets : Coop and Denner . In Saas Fee you have also a Migros . For hikers it is a perfect place !
