Despite the fact that it is a roadside hotel, the atmosphere is very pleasant, both inside and outside the hotel. Free coffee, tea, water, croissants/muffins at the front desk. Room with toys, board games and a pool table. A voucher for breakfast at a nearby cafe can be purchased at reception for 18 francs for an adult and 12 francs for a child. We didn't use it, we had enough croissants and coffee. There is a small supermarket by the cafe.

Marco is a great host, kind to everyone, open for chats (which we love) and very attentive. We stayed 5 nights and the breakfast was perfect, every single day. He makes good coffee, there were different cheeses to choose from every day, and fresh fruit, among others. We were also very happy with the beds, after almost a week in Interlaken with super soft beds, we were happy with these nice, sturdy matrasses. Marco also organizes dinners. We were able to enjoy one of them and we were very satisfied. We will come again, when we're back in Ticino! With the Ticino ticket that you get upon arrival, you can use all means of public transport in Ticino free of charge. That's a huge bonus. Bellinzona is only 20 minutes by bus and from there you can take great walks, either high up in the mountains (using a cable car to get there), or lower, there's ample choice.Guest review byMariekeNetherlands

We stayed in 8 hotels in Switzerland and didn't see any airconditioner so far. We like it cool and loved it! The place is very new, clean and modern. There's a kettle and tea in the room. The breakfast was very nice with lots of fresh and dried fruits. Musli, cereal, lunch meat and cheese. Bread and jams. Chocolate cake and pear tart! The restaurant was not open that night but some other nearby restaurants info was on the bulletin board. Fantastic place and reasonable price. Close to Bellinzona and convenient to see castles. I grew up near Giubiasco, but left so many years ago, coming back was a real treat and I'm hoping to do it again. We spent most of the time with long standing friends.
