- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 171 reviewsWe stayed at Teresa Bay Hotel on a long drive to the Italian coast from the UK. We arrived tired and weary and left refreshed. The view from our superior room over the lake was stunning. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was huge and hot water was plentiful. We used the hotel parking for a small fee. The restaurant also overlooked the lake, so we had a couple of wonderful meals served by really friendly staff. The hotel is a really good base for exploring the area. I highly recommend it.Guest review byTracyUnited Kingdom

All warm Easter surprises for guest were so moving!!! The garden is an extra pleasure. Good value for money! Location is good, only 5 min walk to lago di Lugano . - From £136.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 260 reviewsBeautifully located in a small village of Malcantone, not far from Ponte Tresa. The view towards Italy is like a view from a jungle lodge. Part of the complex is designed as a Roman villa. The bungalows are in Spanish style. From simply furnished to very good. The food is very tasty. A short hour walk away is the only gold mine in Switzerland, which you can visit. Pure relaxation.Guest review byRuwenzoriSwitzerland

Saturday market - make sure you get there latest 11-ish as they seem to pack up around 15:00-16:00 (winter time) Cafe Ofele a great place for coffee and cake and chilling on the cool swing chairs. Massage at Ashe Olistic di Mariela Walking along the riverside is so beautiful Just be aware of opening/closing time of restaurants Just browse and have funGuest review bySharonSwitzerland - 2.0

Correct the hotel location in booking to not show that it is 150 from the center while searching in Lugano area. The hotel location is at the top of the mountain, it tooks more the 25 minutes to reach the hotel up or to go down to the city… nothin around the hotel, no centro, no restaurant… the hotel is in the middle of nowhereGuest review byabrarKuwait - 2.0

The metal shower curtain bar fell on my head while.showering. When I reported this to reception, the guy on duty laughed. I asked for another room due to traffic noise all night. They had no other room so received a refund for second.night. There was also a fridge which didn't cool drinks at all and a tiny balcony overlooking the supermarket next door. There are other hotels in other towns along the lake ....Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Do not go to Magliaso, neither Lugano nor surround areas.
Do not go to Magliaso, neither Lugano nor surround areas. Switzerland is plenty of wonderful places. This is not one of them. Everything here is low quality; the worst quality I've never seen compared with Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and the rest of Switzerland. Accommodation is noisy, dirty and poor. Not as kindly as inner Switzerland or as in Italy. Here everything is a mess, disordered, stressing and against the visitors: they do not like tourists. We left one day before and stayed the trip back to our home in Ur and Schwyz Kantons, much nicer, cheaper and cleaner. For sure, I live in Zürich, and I never go back to Magliaso or even Lugano.Guest review byLuis F.Spain - 10.0

Beautiful location on lake and mountains with walkway around lake close by. Easy access to good Asian restaurants and cafes (Jonny's) train and Swiss border. Would book earlier to get better accommodation.Guest review byKarenCanada - 10.0
Cademario is half hour from Lugano and its lake.
Cademario is half hour from Lugano and its lake. The last part of drive to the hotel may be intense, in particular if driving a manual transmission car, due to the windings and tight turns of a road going 500 meters up in about 15 minutes. Lugano and nearby villages are worth visiting - for example, Gandria, a small village on the lakeside, 15 minutes from Lugano, almost invisible from the main road due to its location on an abrupt lakeshore. Also, Locarno, Ascona, and Valle Verzasca are worth spending an hour driving north. In particular, Ascona is a great place for dinner, where you can choose from a dozen restaurants along a wide pedestrian street on the side of the lake. Valle Verzasca offers parking areas almost each kilometer due to its beautiful views - in particular Ponte dei Salti (pedestrian medieval bridge) and Cascata La Froda (narrow but spectacular waterfall). Small stores along the road offer 10 Swiss Francs parking passes for most of the parking spots (marked "green parking") all the way to the end of the road in Sonogno.Guest review byCostanCanada - 10.0
Beautiful border town with Switzerland.
Beautiful border town with Switzerland. Plenty of restaurants, our favorite is Ristorante Dal Pescatore, directly on the lake front. Fantastic service and food. There are plenty of gelaterias and bars, try Johnny's. Plenty of nice walks and activities around the lake. We travel with our bikes and is ideal to get around.Guest review byPhilSwitzerland - 10.0

Cadê Mário is the ideal 10/10 spot for anyone planning a hiking weekend or week in the surrounding mountains of Lugano which are extraordinary. If you are planning a business trip with appointments in the Center of town, it is not ideal. The location is on the mountain peak. One must pre order a taxi for pick up and the taxi fair is in the range of 70 SFR each way. The bus is complicated. There was not hot tub. At least I didn’t see one.. to clarify and misunderstanding- it is NOT a spa. There was no masseurs or aestheticians available. the surroundings and nature were extraordinary and spectacular.Guest review byElizabethUnited States
