Beautiful building with stunning rooms, amazing staff that always greats you with a smile, great atmosphere and top notch restaurant. We loved everything about it. We came by car and hotel offers free parking for the guests. It’s also located a stone throw away from the train station. Frutigen is a beautiful, scenic Swiss town, with amazing people and atmosphere. I had the best Wienerschnitzel I’ve ever eaten. I loved it so much that I ordered it again just a day after! The apartment was spacious and had a terrific view from the balcony. Free parking was close by and checking in was a breeze. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and the refrigerator was good sized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 adult guests. Venue is very secluded.
Venue is very secluded. This is meant for hikers and campers and not for families travelling place to place. The eating area is infested with flies that makes it very unhygienic. The room has no air-conditioning and the window has no grills and makes it unsafe to be left open with children. This caused us to sleep in a window shut room making it extremely hot in the summer with only a fan to provide ventilation. Kandersteg is a really lovely valley and town - not as touristy as other places but really beautiful and charming. I can recommend the tourist office (very nice people), Beckerei Marmotte for a real authentic village bakery and cafe/restaurant, and all the walks and cablecars - I can't wait to be back.Guest review byA KoalaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We traveled as 3 generations and there was something for all of us. We had so much fun and never even used our car. We loved the village and the hiking path along the river. The restaurant was very good. We also enjoyed the restaurant next door in the botanical garden and fish farm. Easy travels whether on foot or from train and bus stops.
Easy travels whether on foot or from train and bus stops. Plenty of places to stop for coffee or buy a snack. Sunnbüel, Oeschinensee and Blausee are a must see.
