United KingdomIt has a fantastic location at the entrance to the beautiful, unspoiled village of Soglio and with the most extraordinary views across the Val Bregaglia to the Bregaglia range and the Val Bondasca. The young staff team are brilliant, incredibly helpful and multi-lingual. The buffet breakfast was good and the restaurant food verging on fine dining. The terrace overlooking the valley on which drinks and restaurant meals are served is lovely. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Simply stunning.

In summer September it was nearly empty, which allowed me to work in the lobby in an amazing environment. Wifi was super strong in both the Room and the Lobby. Everything was super clean. The scenery in early morning, when sunrise combines with fog, is absolutely breathtaking.

Very pleasant and friendly service, good breakfast. The hotel has restaurant with good cuisine. A bit expensive, yes, but they offer a good discount if you stay 3 night at least.

The word "budget" could be removed from the title of the booking - in a highly competitive price we have got two rooms, equipped kitchen, toilet with amenities, even sleepers and welcome water. Everything clean and cosy. In addition a lot of free parking spaces. We have highly enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel - kind of mysterious ghost hotel, reminding movies by David Flynch. There was a mystery there, but from the other hand a lot of pictures showing old good times of the hotel, full of rich people enjoying the stay. A classic hotel with history, which alone makes it worth spending the night there. In addition, in a fantastic location that in the past was only accessible to the happy few. We stayed there only for two nights. We've been skiing in Madesimo and sleeping in Chiavenna. We didn't spend a lot of time there. I asked for a family room for 5 nights, however. - The room I received was not aligned at all with the pictures available in Booking for a family room: In the family room pictures, the living room was very wide and the bedroom was regular, however I got a family room with a small living room and a very big bedroom, exactly the opposite to my needs. I received the offer to change the room after one night, however, when I asked for the change, the person in reception told me that he had not been informed. - We booked a family room with 2 single beds and a double sofa-bed, however the room had 1 double bed & 1 double sofa-bed. - I booked for 4 people, however the room had only 2 bath towels and 3 blankets, I received the pending stuff in my 3rd day, only after complaining by email and in the reception several times. - Wi-Fi very poor.
