- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 4,352 reviewsThe entire staff (from front desk to restaurant service to housekeeping) were amazing throughout my stay, offering exceptional communication and assistance at all times. The entire team is working together to ensure guests have a happy and care-free stay! My experience in the Junior Suite matched the description on the website in every way. It was newly renovated, very comfortable, spotless-clean and spacious. The kitchen had all the kitchenware needed. The balcony offered a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. There is a beautiful hiking trail to Lake Louise from the hotel which I highly recommend! But there are also busses running to get to the lake for 2$. Thanks for a wonderful time, especially to Karen and Carlos at the front desk!Guest review byBelvedereGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsWe loved everything! This is a great self-contained suite with its own front door, and very spacious, comfortable, and clean. It is perfectly located for Emerald Lake, only a 10-15 minute drive away. Field itself is a lovely little local community, with few tourists, and it's a bonus that it has a restaurant/bar that's a very short walk from Charlie's Guesthouse. We would definitely stay here again, and would definitely recommend it to others!!Guest review byJanUnited Kingdom
- From £543.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,168 reviewsIt was the best hotel we experienced in the Banff. We have booked twice the room during our stay. It's a quiet place located in the park, near the railway. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the (gas) fireplace and the chalet-style room. Rooms were very clean. Attention to details : fresh coffee offered for the morning, nice decoration...Guest review byChristianFrance
- From £399.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,636 reviewsAlmost everything was perfect. The room and the staff was really nice. At the breakfast, could have more options. But the cleaning was not so good. My husband is allergic and he didn’t stay very well. I’ll attached a picture of the back of the tv where you can see the dust.Guest review byLeticia DanieleBrazil

I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and far from worth the price.Guest review byMaryamUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Central location to tourist attractions.
Central location to tourist attractions. Small quiet small residential town on trans Canada highway. Great pub in town to walk to and eat at evenings. Has interesting train history. Away from the crowds at Lake Louise.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The Lake access can be difficult due to the massive crowds Lake Louise, such that hundreds of people walk 1-2 miles uphill just to get to the lake, because parking lot is full by 8:00 AM. There is a reason for this - possibly the most beautiful mountain setting on earth, with dozens of iconic hikes within minutes of the area.Guest review byCJ LangUnited States - 10.0

Field is a small, quiet, town just off the Trans Canadian Highway. It has a few shops and an Inn which serves food. There are spectacular mountains on both sides of the valley with a beautiful river running through it. There is a railway line running parallel to the road and it was fascinating to watch the long trains passing through.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

As someone who visited Lake Louise in 2007 the experience was different at that time we could drive right up to the hotel and that makes it a difficult for people with disabilities. The lake is still just as beautiful as it was back in 2007 also we felt That it would be a good experience to be able to walk through your fabulous Fairmont hotel, which we were unable to do this time.Guest review byCarlosUnited States - 6.0

I stayed at Cathedral Mountain Lodge because it was the closest place to Lake O’Hara. I had managed to win a much coveted bus ticket, and this was the perfect place to stay the night before. Absolutely loved staying at the lodge, views of mountains all around. The only thing I don’t like about this area is the highway. People drive way too fast, it’s sometimes quite scary!Guest review byShirleyUnited Kingdom
