Marisa and Thomas were kind and attentive hosts. We had a long chat with Thomas who was full of information regarding the surrounding areas and all the amazing excursion options. Their son, Chayton, is himself an excellent guide who took us on an amazing excursion to see the mysterious source of the Columbia River. Deep in the rainforest, it bubbles from underground, a crystal clear beautiful set of cascades. Suncreek lodge is well kept and the cottage we stayed in was beautifully crafted in wood and very comfortable. We had a wonderful night sleep. Thanks so much Chayton, Thomas and Marisa for a great experience.

Blue Belize is situated at the far end of the town at the end of the road away from the noise of the town near the waters edge. we stay on 1st floor over looking the very old mango trees through to the water. Sitting on the covered balcony eating a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and warm home made muffins, drinking coffee and fresh juice and listening to the birds. Honestly this is old Belize at its best. shhhh don’t tell everyone it’s not called the forgotten District for no reason.

Quiet little town. One of the best kept secrets of Belize.

Quiet little town. One of the best kept secrets of Belize. There is so much to do and see here without all the crowds of other places in Belize. From exploring caves, swimming in beautiful rivers, visiting local Mayan villages and touring chocolate making villages. Or, fly fishing, Caye exploring, hiking to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country or touring the Spice Farm. This was a remarkable trip.

We’ve had an amazing time here!

We’ve had an amazing time here! Tina and Gary are super welcoming and friendly and are there to help you anytime, with anything. Besides that, they are amazing cooks. We recommend to choose the lunch and dinner options and dine on the property. About the room: we had a beautiful clean room with ocean view. You can see the sun rise every morning. Again: beautiful! This is a highly recommended place to stay :)) Right in the hart of the jungle.

PG is a quaint coastal town.

PG is a quaint coastal town. It has all 7 tribes of Belize represented in the town. There are nice restaurants on the water overlooking the Caribbean Sea. There are Mayan ruins close to the town to visit. A hikers paradise!

Not much is happening in Punta Gorda.

Not much is happening in Punta Gorda. There are a few restaurants, many bars on Front Street, and a large market down town. It seems that people from outlying towns come here to shop. We stopped as a way point from San Pedro, Belize, to Livingston, Guatemala. At this time, ferries between the two run only once a day, five days a week. We came on a Saturday, expecting to catch the Sunday ferry, but had to stay over until Monday.
