it was exactly as I imagined Bahamian island! the Hotel is very cozy and cute, staff is very nice, helpful and hospitable. Location - is super great. it’s 7 mins walk to the beach, 1 min to the restaurants and 5 mins to the grocery store.
Plenty to do
Excellent restaurant selection
Vintage Bahamas if you want it
Valentines Marina has it all
Dunmore and Runaway Hill for incredible dinners
Miles of the best beaches on the planet
Diving is top Notch- Valentines
Rented a private house - excellent
Used Micheals Cycles for a boat and guide- Daren- best guide on the island hands down
Plenty of cart rentals
Bought lobster for dinner - freshly speared and awesome
Fresh tuna on the docks - sushi and more to buy- they never take it all after a days catch
It really doesn’t get any better than this and direct flights from atlanta on Delta

Eleuthera is a long and narrow island.
Eleuthera is a long and narrow island. That does not mean there are good beaches all over it, though. Gregory Town has some lovely beaches that you can have all to yourself. It is truly settled, so you can find convenience - bars, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies all in short distances from each other. The roads are a bit better in Gregory Town than in some parts of Eleuthera. The people are really friendly, so you will be comfortable there.

I really enjoy Alice Town and this is not my first time here...
I really enjoy Alice Town and this is not my first time here-I have made several return trips-but, I would say ( as they say "Eleuthera isn't for everyone") it is very rustic and peaceful and that is what I like, but some may shy away from the lack of restaurants and spotty electricity and " modern conveniences"... I really love the Rainbow Room , and Big Rock, and the Glass Window Bridge restaurant-and just exploring- but, the roads are dicey and there is no guarantee when/if places will be open-I used to really like the Front Porch, but have not found it to be open the past couple of visits-
