Swiming pools, sauna, playgrounds and other activites for everyone. The dining - breakfast is a must with a selection that caters to all - excellent selection for vegans. The evening meal was also enjoyable and a perfect place to host friends.The little touches in our room - the pool towels in a pool bag, the cute room sign, and the products in bathroom - again vegan friendly.

You couldn't get the location any better. Everything is just top notch. The vicinity, the lake nearby, and the staff are nothing short of amazing. Weather and the nature around the hotel made the stay more memorable. The hotel sits in the middle of a village and the peace is so mesmerizing.     The position at Strobl on Wolfgangsee is gorgeous and it’s worth paying for a lake view room. Generous room size, comfortable bed, lounge area with sofa, lounge chair & coffee table and great bathroom. Excellent breakfast - good choice and the ability to order eggs anyway you like. Beautiful gardens right down to the lake where there are 2 jetties and access for swimming. Lovely saunas - Finnish & Bio, and a steam room. Wellness centre if you want to book a massage. Short stroll to ferries - lovely way to see the area and and visit other towns - Sankt Wolfgang and Sankt Gilgen - both busier than Strobl but access for hiking via cog railway or cable car.

    We were travelling with two dogs so were happy to find this hotel that allowed us to stay. Everything was great but lets highlight the breakfast which was full of many options (their jams are just another level!), very nice staff, everything clean and comfy. Location is fantastic. Really this hotel has everything. There is hotel restaurant open as well and if you wanted to get fit except amazing options for lake walks around or hikes, you can actually cross the road and use a gym or sauna in another hotel on the promenade (facing the lake).

    It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities...

    It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

    It is a really nice little lake town, well located to nice hikes and great restaurant options. Cleanest alpine lake I have seen and such lovely small town vibe. we loved it even more that Halstatt, St Wolfgang, Kaprun and Zell am see!

    The staff and hospitality, the effort they made to speak to me in English, they even brought me breakfast out to the patio, everyone else was inside the dining hall, I wanted to enjoy the nice fall weather, by the way the breakfast was easily worth $35.00

    Beautiful scenery and the views across the lake are amazing. Limited supermarket facilities and quite expensive - worth shopping further afield if you have a car. Check restaurant opening times as some were closed when you might expect them to be open, and make a reservation during busy seasons (school holidays) !

    A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. And the sky at night is spectacular! Want an authentic taste of Austrian Gemütlichkeit? This is your place!

    The apartment was in a good location, away from Salzburg center but an easy drive. Grodig is cute & walkable. Good grocery store around the corner & fabulous fish market down the street. We did not eat out so can’t say anything about the food scene. The apartment was perfect for two. The view of the mountains is good but first floor is really looking onto the parking area. A second floor apartment would give the better mountain views. There are bike trails theoughout the area & bike racks at the apartment.

    The Hof bei Salzburg itself is a beautiful peasefull village, very calm and quiet. Lots of supermarkets and DM store available and located in the village. In the evening after 7 pm everithing pretty closed, so make your shopping in advance.

    the staff is amazing To things are subjects for improvement First 1.enrich the breakfast 2.There is no refrigerator and safe in the rooms, in my opinion this is a big drawback, a hotel with excellent service like the Kammel needs a safe and a refrigerator in the room for the comfort of the guests

    Excellent , a walk by the lake and a splendid dinner at Carl-Zone can really make your day. You can enhance your trip by hopping on to any of the boats and visit near by places be it St Gilgen etc , There is boat running between Strobl , St Gilgen and other small villages located by the lake (Wolfgansee) , hope to get the name right
