The breakfast was an amazing feast on the first day, so much that on my 2nd morning I asked them to reduce the offering. REAL Fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. It was also the first hotel who made an excellent iced coffee for me :). Parking is in front of the hotel. Driving up to the hotel was signposted, and slightly different than what google maps was instructing, some of the roads are VERY narrow and steep, so I did have to reverse twice to allow other cars to get through, not an issue, just a mention if you are a nervous driver. Hotel has great views of river, mountains and town square, so whatever room you have you'll get a great view. Glass elevator was an unexpected bonus which gave more great views of permet. The rooms are the old style, with wood framed windows which let all the cold air from outside into the room. Although we had air conditioning that we could turn on warm, it couldn't cope. I liked Permet a lot!
I liked Permet a lot! It is a small town, so you see it in a single day but there is a beautiful river passing through it, and it is surrounded by mountains. There is a range of activities to do around Permet like rafting, hiking, canyoning. The natural views are crazy in my opinion. Crazy mountains and rivers, streams everywhere. The people are very nice, I read about other accounts but we experienced nothing but kindness and politeness. Its off the beaten track which we personally like. Its not all tarted up and cheap touristic vibe like you get in so many European countries, that you dont know what is real anymore. The seaside is also now only about 50 min away - we took a road to Sarande that apparently was just completed, so we also experienced a bit of the mediteranean vibe.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Permet is a very different feel to other places we have been too in Albania, Permet is very laid back, different from Gjirokastër. Plenty of cafes/bars and a couple of nice restaurants. Not a lot to see and do but nice for a couple of days. People are friendly. The thermal baths were a disappointment if honest but it’s a nice place for a night or 2 especially if you like hiking or want to climb up the big rock in the centre of town! 😃Guest review byLynetteUnited Kingdom
