A lovely family owned hotel near the bazaar. Warm welcome, great room and magnificent breakfast on the terrace. Room with nice styling, brand new and very clean. Private parking.
This is an absolutely beautiful small hotel set in a historic building full of character. The old charm of the architecture is perfectly combined with modern comforts – the beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and well-equipped.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, thanks to the incredibly kind staff and the wonderful owner, who takes the time to share fascinating stories about the building’s history and the antiques throughout the hotel. It really adds a personal and authentic touch to the experience.
The breakfast was also very good, with fresh options served in a cozy setting.
There’s convenient parking available at the hotel, and the historic center of Gjirokastër is just a short walk away – perfect for exploring the beautiful old town without needing the car.
If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable stay with a touch of history and heartfelt hospitality, this place is a true gem. We would love to come back!
Really friendly welcome. Lovely proprietor's, Gave gifts to the children. Hotel has great views of river, mountains and town square, so whatever room you have you'll get a great view. Glass elevator was an unexpected bonus which gave more great views of permet. The location is the bit of Permet you want to be in. Permet has a lovely bumble to it in March/April. More going on than some other areas we visited.
Communication with the host was very prompt. The location was excellent, clean room, very good breakfast. The bathroom was very clean. The car can go right up to the guest house . Matilda was very helpful and gave us a few tips on what to do.
I wish we could stay an extra night to enjoy this beautiful place.
Looking forward to another stay at Kore Guest House.

It is a nice hotel, some 20 min walk from the old city. But there is a parking at the entrance to the city, so you can use the car. Rooms are big an clean. Staff is frendly. Breakfast was also ok.

A true boutique hotel. Atmospheric with traditional features but modern bathrooms so a great combination. We met Dragon the owner who was charming, helpful and so enthusiastic.

I liked Permet a lot!
I liked Permet a lot! It is a small town, so you see it in a single day but there is a beautiful river passing through it, and it is surrounded by mountains. There is a range of activities to do around Permet like rafting, hiking, canyoning. I stayed 3 days only but I would have enjoyed staying a bit more to do some hiking.

The natural views are crazy in my opinion. Crazy mountains and rivers, streams everywhere. The people are very nice, I read about other accounts but we experienced nothing but kindness and politeness. Its off the beaten track which we personally like. Its not all tarted up and cheap touristic vibe like you get in so many European countries, that you dont know what is real anymore. The seaside is also now only about 50 min away - we took a road to Sarande that apparently was just completed, so we also experienced a bit of the mediteranean vibe.

Hotel Fantasy do not offer his parking but underground public parking ( 150 m distance) is available wich is better option in hot summer.

The old town has a very pleasant atmosphere, the nearby mountains are a good place for tourism and relaxation. Drivers in the city drive without following traffic rules and often do not give you the right of way at roundabouts- be careful!

Permet is a very different feel to other places we have been too in Albania, Permet is very laid back, different from Gjirokastër. Plenty of cafes/bars and a couple of nice restaurants. Not a lot to see and do but nice for a couple of days. People are friendly. The thermal baths were a disappointment if honest but it’s a nice place for a night or 2 especially if you like hiking or want to climb up the big rock in the centre of town! 😃
