We had an apartment room with 2 balconies (double aspect views) on the top floor of the new block in the main building (where there is also the reception and shop). There was a building in front of us, but nevertheless, the views from our room were amazing. The room set-up (with small kitchen unit, seating area, dining area, bed area, 2 balconies, large windows and separate bathroom) was excellent. It was a nice quiet room with a comfortable bed. The receptionist was very friendly and helped us with the door code. Parking was easy, next to the apartments.

Is nice, modern and clean. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and is located close to everything. The central station is just 0.5 millas walking distance from the hotel .

Scenically set by the Oppstrynsvatnet Fjord, the family-owned Hjelle Hotel rests in a lush garden surrounded by mountains. Jostedalsbreen National Park is 5 km away. Very clean, with everything needed for cooking. The view of the waterfall is absolutely stunning. Being able to rent a SUP board and swim in a peaceful, non-touristy fjord was a unique highlight. Great location too, close to glacier hikes. The shared bathroom was also very clean, and we never had to wait.

The staff, especially Tom and Aurora, were very hospitable and helpful! The hotel is in a gorgeous location. The rooms were very nice, the restaurant was excellent, and it was clean and well maintained. It’s definitely worth paying a little bit more for it!

Room was a good size, both beds comfy. Proper dark curtains over the windows if trying to sleep in during summer. Bathroom and kitchen both fit for purpose. iMac and Bluetooth speaker in the bedroom are handy to have. Host is pleasant and helpful.

It truly felt like a home, with everything well-arranged for a comfortable experience. The flexible check-in was a big plus, making the arrival process smooth and stress-free. The location was excellent—very close to the city center, with a bus stop just a 2-minute walk away. Additionally, the nearby Joker store, also just 2 minutes away, was a great convenience. The host was excellent, providing clear and detailed instructions on how to reach the property, which was incredibly helpful. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and hassle-free stay!

I can definitely see why it has gotten great reviews! Picking up the key was easy and the host was very friendly. Yes it’s a winding drive up the mountain so you need a car but that is part of what makes it so spectacular. Amazing views from the home! Mountains and waterfalls! Warm and cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. Comfortable bed. Fully furnished living room was so cozy after a long day of exploring Nicely stocked large kitchen is perfect for preparing meals …And a wonderful jetted tub! Only 2 of us so we never even used the two bedrooms upstairs but this would be a wonderful place for families or friend get together. Also has a washer so it was great to clean everything after a weeks worth of hiking! The town is close by ( about 10 min drive) so everything is convenient. Would recommend that you book this beautiful home in a heartbeat!

We spent 10 nights in 10 different properties in Norway and this one by far had the best amenities. All cookware you could need were provided, cupboard groceries were also available and the apartment itself felt cozy and vibrant. We could have easily stayed an entire week here. I even managed to bake the best brownie of my life! The host was also very understanding when we had forgotten something in the property after leaving.
