This was my fourth visit and everything about the Black Hat is amazing. Tony and his staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room, facilities and the fantastic food (including breakfast) was exceptional. Absolutely love this place.

The location was great! A very short walk to the beach, a small tesco a few steps away and the local bus stop right outside the property.

The staff, especially Debbie, Katie and Georgia were in particular, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large and comfortable. The food was excellent and I particularly loved the outside space. We will definitely stay here again.

Just 10 minutes' travel by bus from York Railway Station, Ascot House is a 15-minute walk from York Minster. It offers award-winning breakfasts, elegant bedrooms, free WiFi, and free parking. This hotel is a very lovely house. The room is big enough to fully open 3 luggages 😍. The bed is sooooo comfy. The bathroom is great. The breakfast is fantastic. It is the best choice for people traveling by car. Park here and enjoy the city. You don’t have to worry about the fees and tickets. Every corner of this hotel looks so cute to me. For the location, it just takes around 15-20 mins walking to the city center or you can take the bus which is not far. The owner and staffs are very nice and friendly. 100% Recommend this place

Set in secluded gardens, Clementine's Guest House, has free WiFi and characterful rooms. Clementine's Guest House. For starters, this wasn't our first rodeo at Clementines. Over the past couple of years, I must've called - either with my son or partner - some 4/5 times. Rooms exquisite, staff and welcome exemplary, an ambience you won't find anywhere else in York. The decor is classic yet contemporary, amazing beds, wonderful bathrooms, AND - for the first time yet - we had breakfast. Oh my life, what've I been spending my life doing?? Superb spread, all seemingly local produce, and JUST the right amount of food to set you off on your day. Plus, it snowed over Saturday night, so we woke to a deep blanket of the white stuff. Lovely.

In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent. The hotel is an easy walk to magnificent trails and natural sites. The staff was exceptional, especially in helping us overcome major transportation problems ; the location is superb, but difficult to reach without a car. The staff was able to find us a driver, albeit expensive, without whom we could not have made our train connections.
