Tea plantation behind the facility welcome the visit of customers, a good place to visit in the evening and at dawn, a good spot for photo taking.

There is a lot that’s above average at Sunrise Yunqi Teahouse; its location on a steep slope with stunning views of the mountains, the warmth and hospitality of the owners (even compared to Taiwan’s already high standards), delicious locally grown tea and coffee, excellent breakfast and afternoon cake, spacious rooms, and even the owner’s very good English. The place is owned and run by a family that has been rooted in the Alishan region for generations and has grown tea for decades. They will tell you whatever you want to know about the region and Alishan tea, which is considered one of the best in Taiwan and even in China. They will make you feel truly welcome throughout your stay and will help you with anything you might need. If you are looking for something other than yet another beige hotel room and continental breakfast buffet, this is definitely the place for you. Be careful, though - Taiwanese people take their food very seriously, and so do the owners! Breakfast here resembles what we in Europe would consider a two-course dinner. And it’s exquisite. In short: peaceful, relaxing, and unforgettable.

It's quiet and with a beautiful view, one can lay/chill on the terrace. There's a common room to have breakfast together. The host is lovely, she's an interesting person, dedicated and she can arrange pick-up/return trips by car from Shizhuo center, either by herself/her husband or with a driver (100 twd per person). The breakfast was delicious, also prepared by the host. One can have tea/coffee for free in the common room. Good tips for hiking/buses to Alishan. I would say it's better to stay here than to stay at the Alishan National Park.

Very helpful owners who arranged a lift for us to get back as there is no bus nearby. Dinner and breakfast can be ordered which had lots of dishes and was delicious! Quiet area and beautiful -i had an upstairs room which had a beautiful view.

A very nice guesthouse with all that you need. A great place to stay, if you want to do some hiking around shizhao. There are even some restaurants within a 20 minutes walking distance. And a bus stop only 3 minutes away.

Dafong Hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Alishan Railway Station, where restaurants serving traditional Taiwanese delights reside. It also offers free WiFi access and private parking. Very clean, nice room, comfortable bed

The vancinity around Shizhao has become my favorite part of Taiwan. Strategically its a great pivot points between Alishan and Fengqihu (separate day trips), and personally, Shizhao has became the better experience within its own right. Our host Mr. Xue drove us to see fireflies nearby at night. He also drove us to nearby attractions to make the most of our day. He was also so kind to explain tea harvesting and brewing process while we enjoyed the tea he brewed. Our room was huge, equipped with its own tea set. Waking up and starting each day amongst a tea field is a real treat and the aroma of tea permeates though the town. There are great looped trails nearby transecting through multiple tea farms and bamboo forests, look for the Shizhao trail systems, some of my favorite includes the mist, cloud, and sunset trail.

Unbeatable location and the owner is absolutely lovely. We sat down with the owner for some tea tasting and bought quite a bit. The tea itself is worth the trip up the mountain.
