The rooms are fantastic—spacious, well-designed, and the addition of a small kitchen with a full-size fridge is a great bonus, especially in the city centre. Everything was spotless, and the A/C kept the air fresh and comfortable throughout our stay. The location is, of course, unbeatable, sitting on the top floor of St James Quarter. Parking was an absolute breeze—you simply park in the main shopping mall’s underground garage, where there are plenty of spaces. It cost only £26 for two nights after getting the ticket validated at reception. If I’m not mistaken, £26 is the maximum charge, meaning even for a week-long stay, you’d only pay that amount as long as you don’t take the car out.

The apartment is very spacious and modern, totally comfortable for 4 people. The location is excellent - on a quiet street just a couple of minutes walk to Princes Gardens and Christmas markets. Perfect communication with their office throughout our stay. The office is situated in the building in front of the apartment, which is very convenient for luggage storrage after check-out. Many places where you can have delicious breakfast close to the apartment. Overall a great vacation in Edinburgh, would definitely choose this place again!

It felt generous, like every detail was designed to give guests more than they expect. Whether you’re traveling with a group or just want extra room to relax, it’s exactly what you’d hope for. The breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of variety—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. It was the kind of meal you look forward to every morning. Everything we needed was included, and the staff made the whole experience feel effortless. The location was also spot-on—central, convenient, and surrounded by the character and charm of Edinburgh. This wasn’t just a place to stay—it was an experience we’ll remember. I’d go back in a second.

Clean, cozy, modern, very comfy bed, and a lot bigger than expected. It's also close to the city center so everything is walkable. The kitchen is well enough equipped to prepare a few easy meals.

Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk. My son Max and I had a magical stay at The Balmoral. The staff were just wonderful. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay extra special for Max (age 9). Our trip to Edinburgh was a special treat because he's a huge Harry Potter fan. He absolutely loved Edinburgh and all it's Potter lore but the stay in the Balmoral was by far the highlight of his trip because of how kind everyone was to us (as well as it being a beautiful luxurious hotel of course).

The staff, facilities and comfort were all exceptional, with the staff being the highlight of my stay. I had the most interaction with staff member Raul. He is a great person and his attention and service put my Edinburgh experience over the top. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Situated in Edinburgh's West End, The Bonham Hotel is a Victorian town house. Majority of the bedrooms have a city view. I have loved absolutely everything about this hotel: Amazing staff, gorgeous room with comfy beds and bathroom with proper heating, absolutely perfect breakfast, beautiful decor - I could not find a single flaw and could not have asked for a better hotel.
