The hotel (actually a charming villa) was in a prime location, close to all the major attractions. The lady at the reception 🥰🥰🥰 was very friendly, welcomed us with complimentary chocolates. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. The room was beyond comfortable, spotless and spacious, with elegant décor. Breakfast was a feast, with a wide variety of delicious options. Great restaurants and train station within walking distance. Ability to store your luggage after check-out. Hotel Belvedere Locarno, a superior 4-star hotel, is open year-round and offers 90 rooms and suites with beautiful views of Lake Maggiore, the city and the mountains. Beautiful property and spacious room with luxe feeling. Room had a fantastic view and of course the pool area was just fabulous. We travelled with our baby and the touches for him were so cute and appreciated - they even had a baby bath there we could use !! Everything was top notch and we only had room service dinner but it was great, however the restaurant looked incredible for dinner.

This was the only property we stayed at in Switzerland with AC thank goodness. It was also in a good central location in Lugano. The room was very clean and comfortable and also the beds were wonderful and we slept very well. Self check-in was easy and efficient and the hosts were responsive. We were able to get to Valle Verzasca from this location which took about 1.5 hours. 100% recommend!!

Newly opened, beautifully decorated, air conditioned bedrooms, great facilities, family-run and extremely friendly. Set on the banks of Lake Lugano, the terrace, where you have breakfast/ drinks has amazing views across the lake. The breakfast is outstanding- freshly baked breads to start, followed by homemade waffles, and finished off with any type of eggs and bacon. Fabulous orange juice and tea/coffee. The owners also recommended an Italian restaurant 3 minutes walk away, and even reserved a table for us. The food and staff there were amazing too! Villa Patria is a little gem! Can highly recommend!
