Boutique & Design Hotel Volkshaus Basel features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Basel. This 4-star hotel offers room service, a concierge service and free WiFi. The service was impeccable, no request was too much for the amicable front office staff. The beverage station on every floor was a great touch. Previous reviews mentioned the sound of church bells to be disturbing at night, but we found them to be soothing and not inconvenient. Loved the design concept running through the hotel and we look forward to exploring their sister properties.

It was my second time in the hotel and everything was great! The staff is super friendly and the hotel is centrally located!

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The staff were excellent, they accommodated all our needs. The rooms are all modern and well equipped. You get a welcome drink. All went fine. We even extended our stay one more night.

The place, while small, is cute and private. The absolute highlight is the breakfast, which was phenomenal to the point where you feel sad you can't eat everything.
