Located in Hikone, 4.2 km from Hikone Castle, Biwafront Hikone provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Everything here is just perfect. The rooms are super comfy, the onsen is superb, the breakfast is wonderful, and the lounge floor is stunning. Apart from all that, the staff and their hospitality deserve a special shoutout.

Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. This place is a real gem for relaxation. Our room had a great view to the Biwa lake, comfy beds, and an open air bath. Our first dinner was a 10+ plate Kaiseki menu, and as our second dinner we chose crab shabu shabu, which was excellent as well. Tried public onsens (indoor and outdoor pools), private onsen, and massage. Wore Yukatas the whole time :) All public and private areas were exceptionally spacious. The staff were very welcoming. There was a shuttle to/from the nearest train station.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It is a wonderful and relaxing environment and allows you to enjoy the best onsen experience. The hotel staff organised the shuttle bus for us even though it passed 6pm to ensure we made it to our dinner reservation. The food provided was 10/10, possibly one of the best meals we had in Japan ! And I forgot an item when I left the hotel, the staff just mailed it to my next hotel within the next day. Will definitely come back!

KAMENOI HOTEL Hikone provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 2.7 km of Hikone Castle and 6 km of Maibara Station. Amazing food, pleasant staff and great onsen. Frequent shuttles to and from train station was a plus.

Offering an outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and 6 restaurants and bars, Biwako Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from Keihan Hamaotsu Train Station. Everything was fine. Delicious Breakfast and the Club Lounge was excellent. The huge public bath was great for relaxing.

Only a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station with the complimentary shuttle, hotel Yuzanso features Japanese-style rooms with a private open-air hot spring bath and spectacular views of Biwako... Everything - the private onsen in the room was lovely and the public onsen was amazing- there wasn’t anyone else around so was incredible. Food was also amazing.
