You instantly feel at home here. The rooms are beautifully decorated, stylish and comfortable, with great attention to detail. And the breakfast? Fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared – the perfect way to start your day. In short: a personal and welcoming place, run with heart. You leave with a smile and a strong desire to return.

Kaala Kalaththewa Luxury Eco Resort localiza-se em Anuradhapura, a 6 km de Attikulama Tank, e fornece acomodações com uma piscina exterior, estacionamento privado gratuito, um jardim e um terraço. It was exceptional. The staff was professional and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The whole resort was clean, spacious and beautifully designed. It's located in a small forest with butterflies, pheasants, a variety of wild birds and cute chickens. You can take a walk, play badminton, go to the nearby lake or visit the temples in anuradhapura or mihintale - it's very close. The hosts can arrange tours as well - we went to Anuradhapura with a guide and it was very fun and a fair price. Also the food: try the Sri Lankan breakfast it's delicious! We loved the tree house - it was so relaxing when it was rainy. They even offered room service. :) long story short - a must stay. Ps: please note that there is nature around. It's a tree house in a jungle-like forest. There are occasionally frogs and other visitors on your terrace. We loved it though.

Woodland Sanctuary is a truly magical place to stay. The villas are beautifully designed with elevated, barrel-shaped rooms, spacious decks, and open-air tropical bathrooms that allow you to enjoy nature while maintaining privacy. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. Maleesha, the host, is incredible—attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to arrange an unforgettable private safari that gave us a close-up experience of the local wildlife, as well as an authentic Ayurvedic spa treatment that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. Everything about this stay was beyond expectations.

Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Cooked us Sri Lanka n dinner on arrival and carried our bags. Organized onwards transport for us. The actual accomodation was amazing, so cool, so clean, comfy beds. Loved it!!

First: huge room as you see it , bed big and comfy, all you need is there. In addition the setting is perfect, far from main roads, it is quiet, no car noise, no pollution, immerse in a garden with Coco and banana plants, you wake up with birds singing. there are even the srilanka squirrels! Not sure the name.. Archeological park is far from town and huge, therefore you need a mean of transport anyway... But the most important thing were Ishani and her family. i was booking places for our holiday, when I saw this place and I decided that I was going to book all places run by local families, in order to know them more, the culture, the food. Also I know that srilanka people are very nice and I think they deserve to be known and to be rewarded directly. But I couldn't imagine we were going to feel so well here! They are all so incredibly nice. We had srilanka breakfast and dinner for the 3days prepared by them, great! I suggested them to set cooking classes! The big surprise was that they speak also Italian! So we chat in English and Italian! Leaving this morning was not easy, we felt at home. And I really wishto see them again. For sure we'll keep in touch. I don't think it'll be possible to match this great welcoming place during this trip.

The experience was simply perfect, beginning with the delightful private pool right outside our room, offering a tranquil and romantic escape. Each evening, we were treated to an absolutely delicious buffet dinner, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. Beyond the resort's impeccable amenities and dining, its location proved to be an excellent base for exploring the region's iconic attractions. We found it incredibly convenient to visit Sigiriya, Minneriya National Park, and Polonnaruwa. If you're looking for a relaxing, well-located, and truly memorable stay in Sri Lanka, Sun Shade Resort is an absolute must.

We are a group of 5 catalans who stayed in two accommodations, one of which was up in a tree. The experience has been fabulous, perhaps the best lodging in Sri Lanka. Both houses were super clean, humble but very beautiful ✨ The surroundings were wild, and all you could hear were birds. We saw several animals. The gentleman was always super attentive in every way. He prepared some amazing lunches for us and even better dinners. The owner cooked for us on the spot, and honestly, a 10!! It was delicious (one of the best places we’ve tried), tailored to our taste (in our case, without spice), and featuring typical local dishes. Plus, the price was always very fair; at no point did we feel overcharged (there are many places that jack up prices when you’re a tourist). A must-stay accommodation if you’re in the area!! 💯

Escondido numa bonita ruína, o Sungreen Resort Habarana & Spa disponibiliza um spa, uma piscina exterior, um centro de fitness e vistas para a montanha. Os hóspedes podem desfrutar do bar no local. Staff muito simpático e prestável, fizeram tudo para que nos sentíssemos bem. A piscina é ótima. O ambiente do hotel é ótimo, podemos ver vários animais no jardim como esquilos, borboletas, assim como várias árvores de fruto. Também vimos um elefante a passear perto do hotel!
