Hotel location was the number one perk--step outside and see the Bibikhanum Mosque from your room's door, and enjoy a clear view of the gorgeous historical structure over breakfast as well. In addition to being right next to the mosque, the hotel was within a 15 minute walk from the Siyob Bazaar, Shah-i-Zinda, and the Registan. It was a short (~10 minute) drive to the airport and about 20 minutes from the train station. The street outside the hotel had many food options if you need a convenient meal as well. It serves as a great base for anyone exploring the key historical sights of Samarkand, and could also be used to explore the broader modern city of Samarkand as well. Will definitely stay here if I return to Samarkand.

A lovely classy hotel with all the features of contemporary Uzbek design. It is located on a quiet pedestrian area just a few steps away from Registan squares. Even though it is not directly accessible by car, taxi drivers know the way. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast and very polite and helpful staff. They also allowed to extend my stay after the check-out time with a resealable price. I would recommend Sangzor you everyone!
