The Cathedral and San Miguel Chapel are a must.
The Cathedral and San Miguel Chapel are a must. The interior of the Cathedral is a fine example of Spanish Mission style with native decorative color patterns and art. The adobe buildings of the Plaza give a wonderful Southwest old-town feel. The art shops are numerous. One cannot leave without purchasing a personal item made from local turquoise. The Loreto Chapel and the magnificent spiral staircase is worth the time.Guest review byJR - 10.0

Two "MUSTS" for Santa Fe PLAZA, both there for many years: 1. Go to the "Five & Dime" for terrific variety of gifts, snacks, T-shirts, drugstore stuff, hotdogs, etc. at very reasonable prices. 2. This is an older, refurbished property, not a luxury hotel, but a lot of thought has put into everything. For example: my room had a refrigerator that really worked, and a microwave that came in handy. In the lobby there is filtered water to fill your water bottle and good coffee cookies. Even though the west end of the hotel is next to the main road, the location was quiet. BONUS: the free shuttle takes customers to The Plaza which is central to all the Santa Fe sites and we did not need to worry about finding parking! LOVED the airy breakfast area where warm home made breakfast burritos with special salsa was a real treat! Staff was very customer oriented / friendly!
