This was a last minute booking as the hotel we had booked was terrible. The staff where fanatic, it was my wife's birthday and I happened to mention this in passing the staff brought us a bottle of wine the evening we checked in with a little birthday note. Then the following day they brought us a brownie with a candle and sang happy birthday!!!! This really made our day the staff went above and beyond. The hotel was very nice rooms where very nice and clean.

Location was nice. We were upgraded to one of the deluxe outside units where we could park right outside. Rooms did have a funny smell but could have been the sulfur in the air. Room and bathroom were clean. Beds were comfy. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

    It was amazing.

    It was amazing. I recommend the private lake view, it was so pretty and relaxing. The pool areas and facilities were extremely clean and well managed. The freshly squeezed fruit juice was a lovely finish to an excellent afternoon of relaxing and rejuvenating.

    Fantastic family pools, not crowded but so good to have 3 different pools, the two hot minerals ones ( I think it did something magic to my skin 😀, I noticed my face looked so smooth after soaking in the pool that even my family said something like "our trip to Rotorua make you look young again" 😀Awesome service, staffs all look smart dressed like airline crew. The duty manager on 9th October at around 3, 4 or 5pm .. sorry I lost track of the time there, he was great and welcoming, I forgot his name but I really liked it when he asked if I used Trip Advisor which I did but was not really sure if it was a genuine real site, so I thank him for asking so now I can confidently use Trip advisor without worrying. Booking.com is good too.

    We really enjoyed our stay. The spa facilities were excellent, and the hotel is perfect for families with kids. The location is fantastic – very central and convenient. We also appreciated the 20% discount for Polynesian Spa, which was a great bonus.

    I was in Rotorua attending a conference and the location of the Prince's Gate Hotel was perfect. 5 min walk from the Energy Events Centre, Rotorua Lakefront area and walkways, both the Polynesian Spa and the Wai Araki Hot Springs and the town centre. The outside of the building and the interior reception area is very charming. The night shift reception person was very welcoming and I appreciated the welcome letter in the room.
