The hospitality and friendliness of the hosts is unparalleled. Their estate is just lovely, you get to meet all the animals if you want, they cook you a fantastic breakfast with homemade bread and even offer to wash dirty laundry. And on top of that the rooms are just lovely and cosy as well as absolutely spotless. All in all it was so lovely, it made us delay our onwards travel to stay with them for longer. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Clean, modern house. Everything you want is there Nice peaceful location, just a 25 minute drive to Tokoroa and around 45 minute drive to either Rotorua or Taupo. A lovely 4 night stay and definitely would recommend a holiday there and will definitely stay again if the need arises.

Lizzie was an amazing host. We had so many questions because we were travelling with a picky 5 year old and she was able to help us with everything in a timely fashion. The property was amazing, a place we all wished we had and with every facility functioning as it should. It is clean and modern in it's design. Internet speed was good and One NZ mobile coverage was more than adequate. A definite gem especially if you appreciate sleeping under the stars. A two-minute drive to the Waikite Valley Pools is an icing on the cake.

What an awesome place - actually only went yesterday - 29 April 2021. Had a look on the website to see if their café was open - it was - and noticed on the site that dogs were welcome!! WOW, most unusual, but very welcome. Very short ferry ride takes you to the 'island' (?) where all the thermal activity goes on. Lots and lots of stairs, but so well laid out it wasn't arduous at all. Wide gaps between most of them, so easy walking for us and our greyhound. A small dog may have to be carried after a little while ... Exciting walking over the area where the boiling water was literally at our feet! We were there for nearly three hours! After over two hours on the island we then had lunch - cup of tea, sandwich and a cake (cake was delicious!). Such lovely friendly people. Would certainly recommend! First class!!
