United KingdomThis is a great hotel with great staff! The front desk staff were so helpful and gave us some amazing tips for our stay in Madurai. When we arrived there was a lovely lady behind reception who had some henna on her so she did some designs on my wife’s hand, which was a lovely little touch. They also have recommended Tuk Tuk drivers outside the hotel and they helped negotiate a price for the whole evening, where the driver waited for us wherever we went, for a great price. This hotel is located in a great place too!

United KingdomReally loved the Superior Suite, I booked this stay with my Parents, and they also loved the room, breakfast. We also enjoyed the Lunch & Dinner. Owner was so helpful, he arranged the local cab for us to visit famous places around Madurai and Airport Pick up & drop . So I would highly recommend to reach to him, he is very nice and kind person.

The sole purpose of visiting Madurai is this Temple.
The sole purpose of visiting Madurai is this Temple. Over the years, has become heavily crowded, barricaded and long queues, but MUST visit for all your travails will be forgotten as you "see" Meenakshi Amman, Sundereshwarar (Shiva), the Big Pillaiyar (Ganapathy) and the 1000 Pillar Hall. Please sit by the Golden Lotus Pond under open sky, especially during sun down. Please plan you visit early morning (5 - 5.30 AM at the temple premises) for great darshan and avoiding long queues. It is in the centre of the City and Markets / Local bazaar for Saris, Bangles, Vessels, Local food is plenty around. Make sure you are dressed modestly as there is a dress code. Men can not wear shorts and women should have a shawl to cover their shoulders and head. Your shoes must be left outside the gates. You can check them in at the shoe locker and walk across the uncomfortable cobble stone street to the entry gate, else just wear cheap shoes or sandals that day and leave them outside the entry gate - they should probably be OK - thats what most of the locals do.Guest review byGMUnited States

We could walk to the Meenakshi Temple. It was a short rickshaw drive to the Palace, the Arulmigu Koodal Azhagar Temple and the flower market. We also liked the food places and street food options in the neighborhood. The apartment is spacious, very good AC in the sleeping room, comfortable bed.
