Host St Ives was the ideal base for exploring this stunning part of Cornwall. Rassie is an exceptional host—helpful, genuinely friendly, and full of great local tips. His warm South African accent alone could brighten your day, and honestly, I’d happily grab a pint with him anytime. He even inspired us to go for a sunrise swim in the sea—an unforgettable experience! The accommodation itself is beautifully designed, with thoughtful details in every corner. The interior is stylish, the lighting can be adjusted with different ambient scenes, and even the shower gel smells like gorse—the iconic yellow flowers you see everywhere around here. As tempting as it is to just relax in the room, be sure to get out and explore. There’s so much to do in and around St Ives: hike to Zennor or even Gurnard’s Head, take a boat trip, visit beaches, explore the chapel, discover great restaurants, check out 3 Mile Beach, or catch a film in the small cinema just around the corner. Highly recommended—we’ll be back!

Very cute and cozy hotel, with great restaurant and amazing views from many of the bedrooms of St. Micheals Mount. The staff was kind and we enjoyed sitting by the fire and reading books in their lounge area in the cold weather.

    Go here!

Go here! It’s much quieter than St Ives and only a half hour walk or 5 minute train ride away. Dolphins and seals appear at the end of the day and there were very calm seas when were there. Shame about the jet skis but they didn’t stay long.

This is a beautiful, neat, quiet and clean beach.

This is a beautiful, neat, quiet and clean beach. Ideal for swimming, stroll and relaxing. It is tucked away and one can easily miss it. If you are walking from main road, near Tesco store roundabout, the walk through narrow lane to the beach is less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend the visit to this beach.

Lovely hotel in great location just outside St Ives and a short walk to the beautiful Carbis Bay. There is a rail station just outside the hotel which runs every half hour during the day into St Ives. Lotty on reception was very helpful and gave us a tour of the hotel’s facilities. Breakfast and dinner was excellent

We have stayed at Tregenna many times, mostly in self-catering accommodation but this was a shorter stay than usual so we booked a hotel room. The hotel is full of character, with wonderful views over the sea - great to have a room with a view - beautiful gardens, plenty of facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, and friendly and helpful staff. There's no need to visit Carbis Bay as you suggest: Porthminster Beach is a beautiful sandy beach at the bottom of the hill from Tregenna.

The location was fantastic with great sea views of Carbis Bay. The Apartment was a good size with everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. Bathroom had his and hers wash basin with shower enclosure and large bath which was nice. Also the train station was really handy only stones throw from the apartment and £2.00 return to St Ives

Excellent apartment, high standard clean and comfortable, nice quiet place. We stay this place for the second time and would recommend it again in future. Andrew is a really good host and helpful. We received nice Cornish biscuits, Cornish milk and Cornish tea when we arrived and helped us to settle down after travel. Nearby to Tesco, you need food ready for the apartment. Easy access to St. Ives, A30 and easy drive around South Cornwall. Carbis Bay train to St. Ives and buses provided.
