We loved our stay at Chira glamping. It exceeded our expectations. Amazing facilities, comfortable bed, incredible views and so peaceful and relaxing. Great products in the room as well. Everything was so clean and we were really well looked after by Douglas. Breakfast was also lovely.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It's design is beautiful and has incredible views. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere in the world. The pungle pool King forest room is within the forest or so it feels., with a big balcony overlooking the mountain and the ocean. Lots of wildlife pass or fly by. The bed is super comfortable and the furnishings comfortable and stylish. The pungle pool lovely and hot. Every single member of staff is super attentive, friendly and helpful. From the second we arrived to the second we left. Attention to detail is fantastic, from the welcome drink and cool towel on arrival to the little gift of a wooden animal ornament. At the last minute we also booked and stayed in the Junior suite, which is exquisite, with enormous windows, a downstairs lounge and bedroom upstairs.

My room was very clean, there was ample hot water, WiFi worked well, staff and other guests were very friendly, staff very helpful with with booking activities/transport, grocery store within walking distance, and I loved having the shared kitchen to cook my own food!

Everything was absolutely dreamy. We chose Belmar to start our honeymoon off and we couldn’t have picked better. We loved our Peninsula Superior room with an amazing bathtub with a view. The food was glorious. We loved the “garden to plate” concept. We did a beer tasting at the brewery and it was great, too. My husband was so happy! The hotel staff was incredibly polite and helpful; they helped us book a wonderful excursion to the cloud forest with a picnic breakfast up in the canopy as well as a guided tour. Our guide, Daniel, was very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. I also particularly loved the organic cosmetics provided for us (the vanilla, lavender and pepper shower gel was seriously to die for) as well as lots of amazing beverages from the room fridge including organic iced teas, kombucha and pale ale. There was no air con in the room which I loved as it tends to make me ill usually — the temperature at night was between 16-18 degrees and we slept with open windows, listening to the jungle sounds. Can you think of anything better?!

    Overcrowded. Led like s herd of sheep.

    Overcrowded. Led like s herd of sheep. Spent from 7:30 am to 2Pm mostly queiung and waiting. Zip lines are onlybinteresting for a girst time. But after it is noring. Hooking on "whats your name, where do you come from" zipping unhooking queuing ...repeat. i lost the count. No wildlife. Just tourists. Staff is nice and capable but seem to have soent much time with the US marines. One good memory in monteverde is the restaurant morpho good food snd very nice view

    We booked the hanging bridges.

    We booked the hanging bridges. They were incredible - but if you have limited time you could equally do this from La Fortuna. We did see Coati's which we didn't see anywhere else in Costa Rica.

    Great stay. Really beautiful dome. Felt almost honeymoonish. About a 35 minute drive to Selvatura Adventure park. We drove a 2WD. Was a bit challenging but worth it.

    Gloria, Marcelo and Julio all made us feel at home. There were delicious breakfasts served on our terrace, from which we even saw some toucans. The location was great, we were able to walk to Santa Elena. The room itself was unique with it's wooden interior. It was clean and comfortable, and had a microwave and fridge. Mayco was very helpful in booking tours whilst we were there, we enjoyed the Selvatura Adventure Park ziplines and would definitely recommend the tour of Monteverde cloud forest with Javier, he was a brilliant guide.
