Your hosts, Angela and Barry, provide the very best in traditional hospitality. You will immediately feel at home with their genuine and friendly welcome, and be spoiled with many thoughtful touches.
“We pride ourselves on being hospitality experts.
We offer all our visitors an enthusiastic welcome, friendliness, much kindness, comfort, and good food.
Both of us have travelled extensively throughout our working lives, I was a Flight Attendant and Purser for British Airways before holding senior positions in a prominent hotel chain. Barry travelled and lived in various parts of the world during his career in clinical research before settling in New Zealand and establishing a highly successful College. Both of us are outward going people with a real interest and concern for all that's happening in the world around us. Above all we enjoy the company of all our guests. People love to travel and we love listening to their stories. In return we trust that we convey our love for New Zealand and our special city of Christchurch.
And if you like cats, you will love Eric. He is a ginger cat, very affectionate, enjoys company and talks a lot!

Art galleries, gardens, music, theatre, museums, historic homes, shopping, sightseeing—Christchurch is teeming with activities.
Close to Dyers House is Victoria Park, with its Ranger station and information centre. There are plenty of walking tracks here and great views. Watch out for the runners and mountain bikers! Also in Cashmere is the Christchurch Adventure Park. It's a major international arena for mountain biking, with ziplines for fun and chairlifts for cross country and downhill runs. Pioneer Stadium at the foot of the Cashmere Hills has indoor swimming pool and gym if you still have the energy! Even closer is the home of the crime novelist and dramatist Ngaio Marsh. Considered a ‘Queen of Crime’ along with contemporaries Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, her house has been preserved as it was when she wrote many of her 32 novels. Personal guided tours must be pre-booked so contact us for assistance.
Further afield, just an hour away, is the early French settlement of Akaroa where you can see the world’s smallest Dolphins while cruising the harbour. Your journey there will provide many photo opportunities of the picturesque bays of Banks Peninsular. Heaven
