Casa Caleido, accommodation for design-lovers, is an eclectic experience inspired by the fascination of the imperfect. It is located in Verona, in an Art Nouveau building in the Borgo Venezia district. Why the name Casa Caleido? Caleido is a creative observatory on the world of creativity founded by Manuel Barbieri and Marco Magalini, a creative duo and former co-founders of the creative agency MM Company. Casa Caleido is their private home, a portion of which is dedicated to accommodation for design-lovers, which expresses and encapsulates the universe of the Caleido project. A physical place to meet, research, experiment and be inspired. The renovation reflects an eclectic spirit: we have safeguarded the existing original elements - such as the doors and the floor cement tiles - mixing them with materials and atmospheres straddling Brazilian modernist rationalism and Moroccan materiality. The furnishings were designed by us and made by Italian craftsmen. They are now part of the Caleido Collection and can be purchased on our website.

Manuel Barbieri and Marco Magalini are the home owners. Brand guardians, communication artisans, curators, interpreters of made in Italy, charm seekers. Definitions that sum up a modus operandi cultivated and carefully guarded, always guided by a spirit of excellence and a panoramic vision that draws from the worlds they are most akin to, such as architecture, art, fashion, design, cuisine and music. Manuel Barbieri and Marco Magalini began collaborating in 2011, working four-handedly on creative art direction projects in the fields of furniture, fashion & interior design. In addition to the projects realised for brands, they experiment with self-produced research projects, such as a scouting magazine, curating collectives at Milan Design Week and realising self-produced furniture. During these years they experience a mental and aesthetic synergy that sinks into a panoramic and humanistic vision of the project, with a design-oriented and artisanal soul, summed up in the mantra "Always for love". In 2021 they founded Caleido: a kaleidoscopic observatory on the world of creativity, curated by MM Company, created to investigate contemporary society and actively promote the culture of design and creativity. Through conversations (interviews) with creative people in the fields of architecture, art, fashion, design, cuisine and music; the Collection (CaIeido Collection) and the story of furniture, objects, books and works of art with a high cultural value; convivial symposia, meetings, exhibitions, events, dinners and special projects to encourage discussion around the culture of design and creativity. Borgo Venezia is a district of Verona, located in the eastern sector of the city in the direction of Venice; It is bordered to the west by Valdonega and Veronetta, to the south by Porto San Pancrazio, to the east by San Michele and close to Montorio and Ferrazze, and to the north by Poiano and Quinto. It is about one and a half kilometres from the historical centre (20 minutes' walk from the Arena) and lies just outside the city walls. Viale Unità d'Italia separates Borgo Venezia from the district of Porto San Pancrazio.
