This stylish, contemporary property is situated in a calm, tranquil setting just outside the Georgian heritage town of Birr with Birr Castle Demesne and historic science museum. There are two rooms as options for booking Room 1: Deluxe King Room with en-suite: This room comfortably sleeps two adults but there's plenty of space for a cot/camp bed. Room 2: Garden twin room with en-suite. This room is located separate to the main house 5 meters away from the breakfast room. Guests are offered tea/coffee/hot chocolate on arrival and a nite-cap of a local liquor is offered before retiring to bed. Our house is warm bright and has everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. Weather permitting guests can have their breakfast outside.

We really enjoy meeting people and love to hear about their different experiences and stories. Alternatively if someone wishes minimal interaction that's no problem either. There will always be someone in the house to answer any questions and to interact, if desired, with the guests. We have plenty of suggestions and ideas of what to do locally and details of local restaurants. We would be delighted to share this with our guests. On arrival we offer tea/ coffee/hot chocolate. We always supply a refreshing jug of fresh filtered cold water with orange/lime and mint. I work as a carer and teacher.

It is in a tranquil countryside setting but yet only a short walk from the town of Birr. Birr is a famous Heritage Georgian town with Birr Castle Demense and science museum. The town itself has a fabulous river walk with an outdoor gym and super playground. There's a skateboard park for energetic teenagers! Birr has plenty of great coffee shops. Kinnity Slieve Bloom mountains are on our doorstep. We are around 20 minutes walk from Birr town on a quiet rural road. 20 mins drive from the N7 motorway . There are various buses to Birr from Dublin, Athlone, Galway and Tullamore.
