The Stone House Siga Siga is a contemporary traditional Nisyros home, constructed from volcanic rocks that were restored on-site. The house and its extensive outdoor areas were designed and built in 2020 by the renowned Nisyrian architect and restoration expert, GiorgisTsironis. Set on 2 acres of tranquil terraced land, planted with ancient trees, the house has 180-degree views to the Aegean Sea. Enjoy serenity and privacy at that comfortable house which hosts up to 5 guests. Situated above the main village of Mandraki, it is only a 5 minute drive away or you can also walk along the ancient path “monopadi” nearby to the house (15 – 20 mins).To access the house, you must park your car on the driveway above and then walk down a path with steps, about 60 metres to the house. The house comfortably sleeps 5. There are two bedrooms with comfortable queen-size beds as well as a divan-bed beneath the beautiful archways in the central room. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning, as well as the main living area/ kitchen. The master bedroom has high ceilings with a ceiling fan, plus an en suite. Double wooden doors open from the master bedroom onto the terrace. The second bedroom is also spacious – its mezzanine-style bed accessed by 3-4 sturdy steps and a solid handrail. Themain bathroom opens into a private courtyard with an outdoor shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with two fridges, modern chef’s stove, induction stovetop and dishwasher. There is also a small dining table and chairs, as well as a comfortable cosy cushioned lounge area. Outside there is a huge kitchenwith stone benches and double-sinks perfect for summertime entertaining around a hand-crafted wooden table that seats 12. Bespoke soft divan cushion seats on the enclosed stone wall offer a dreamy place for a siesta under the sunshade sails. The home is beautifully furnished with lovely lighting, and polished concrete floors. There is WiFi throughout the house.
