Our hostel is a simple and affordable place to stay, located in the very center of Sulkava, close to local services and Lake Saimaa. The house is a traditional wooden building with seven simple rooms — a mix of single and double — for travelers seeking a quiet, no-frills stay.
Please note:
There is no reception or staff on site.
Guests check in and check out independently using clear instructions we provide.
We offer basic accommodation only — each room includes a bed, mattress, bedding, and essential furnishings.
Shared spaces include a kitchen, living room, bathroom, four toilets, laundry room, and a spacious yard. Guests can enjoy two saunas:
- A traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna located in the yard

Both saunas are free to use, as are the laundry facilities.
This is a simple and self-managed place — ideal for those who value independence, peace, and a local atmosphere over luxury.
I am originally from Vietnam and has a deep love for the arts. A musician by heart and a craftsperson by hand, they enjoy creating things — especially handmade and upcycled clothing. In fact, there's a small shop selling recycled garments located right in the shophouse at the hostel.
I am friendly, quiet, and respectful of guests’ privacy, but always happy to help when needed. Please note that I am not speak Finnish, but communicates in English. If you prefer to interact with a Finnish-speaking host, this may be something to consider before booking.
If you're interested in upcycled handmade clothing, I warmly welcomes you to visit the shop, enjoy a cup of coffee, and have a friendly chat. Special discounts are available for hostel guests.
This is a simple and self-managed place — and I am here to make your stay smooth and peaceful.
