Cosy and fully equipped 4.5-room holiday apartment for up to 5 guests – ideal for families, couples or friends. Two bedrooms with double beds (2x 90x200 cm) and one room with a French bed (140x200 cm) offer plenty of space. The bathroom was renovated in 2023, and the kitchen was completely modernised in 2024. The apartment is continuously maintained with care and attention to detail. The bright living room features a comfortable sofa, reading corner, TV, radio/CD player, and a selection of board games for children. The modern kitchen includes a dining table with 6 chairs, raclette and fondue sets, oven, toaster, mixer, filter coffee machine and a Tassimo machine. Crockery and cutlery for 6 people are provided. The apartment includes a spacious balcony with deck chairs and a covered terrace with a table, chairs and a gas barbecue – perfect for relaxing in the fresh mountain air. The apartment is located in the car-free part of Grächen, surrounded by nature and absolute tranquillity. Access is on foot via a well-maintained gravel path (approx. 80 metres elevation gain over the first 300 metres), followed by a flat concrete village path (approx. 700 m to the church). Good footwear is recommended. Depending on the degree of mobility, the path may not be suitable for guests with walking difficulties. Free luggage transport on arrival and departure (upon prior phone notification) with our John Deere tractor. Wi-Fi is included. Beds are made upon arrival, and hand and bath towels are provided for each guest. Please note: Tourist tax CHF 3.80/night/person, parking CHF 7/day and final cleaning including linen CHF 100 are to be paid in cash on site and are not included in the Booking price. Optional add-on: Private outdoor spa with sauna and hot tub – perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking, biking or skiing.
Hosts with Heart and History Welcome to our Alpine paradise. Here, peace meets fresh mountain air, sunshine meets nature – far away from traffic and the everyday rush. The chalet housing the holiday apartment was built in 1952 by the grandparents of the current host. It was renovated in 1990 and has since been carefully maintained and lovingly improved. The bathroom was renovated in 2023, and the kitchen was fully updated in 2024. This way, we offer a modern holiday home in a chalet full of history. The host family lives on the second floor all year round and is always available for questions or assistance. It is close to our hearts that guests feel completely at home. A personal welcome, seasonal decorations, local tips and a listening ear are all part of the experience. Whether reading on the sunny terrace, marvelling at the mountain views or pausing in peaceful silence – this is a place to breathe deeply and let your thoughts wander. We warmly welcome all guests – those seeking peace and quiet as well as adventurers, families with children as well as solo travellers or couples. Guests of all ages are welcome here. (Please note that we are unable to accommodate pets in our holiday apartments – thank you for your understanding.)
The chalet is located in the car-free part of Grächen – which means peace, fresh mountain air and pure nature. However, it also means the chalet is not accessible by car, motorbike, quad or similar vehicles, but only on foot. A paid parking space for our guests is available near the bus station at the upper part of the village. From there, a scenic 12-minute walk leads to the chalet – ideal for guests who value a natural and tranquil setting. The access path is on foot: Starting from the church, follow the road south past Hotel Hannigalp. At the small roadside chapel, turn right – from there, a steep but well-maintained trail leads downhill to the chalet in about 5 minutes, covering roughly 80 vertical metres. We recommend wearing sturdy footwear. Depending on the severity, the path may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. The chalet is quiet and secluded – perfect for relaxing days in the mountains. The surrounding area offers countless opportunities for hiking and exploring nature, in both summer and winter. Wellness lovers will also find joy here: Our private outdoor spa with sauna and fire tub can be booked for exclusive use at an additional charge – a unique way to unwind while enjoying the view. Please notify us at least one hour before arrival to arrange the free luggage transport. We will be happy to pick up your luggage from the parking area with our tractor and bring it directly to the house.
