Whether you're traveling on public transport by train or cruising along the Grand Tour of Switzerland by car: Ideally located right beside the train station of Andelfingen, our home is nested into a village that also takes part of the Grand Tour right in the center of Zurich’s wine country. Golden fields of corn, a meadow mosaic and cultivated fields, impressive timber-framed houses and walking and cycling paths all contribute to the unique character of the wine country. Andelfingen represents the regional center of Zurich’s wine country. The village lies between Winterthur and Schaffhausen and is surrounded by large vineyards. It accommodates several restaurants, a supermarket, small boutiques, a specialized shop for organic and farm shops with regional products. It stands out with its distinct church tower, its historic buildings, its water mills and its 18th century castle garden renowned throughout Switzerland and open to the public. The river Thur that runs through the village invites for pleasant hiking or adventurous river rafting activities.
