Set in the hippest east area of Taipei, Star Hostel Taipei East has transformed from an old residential house to modern Eco-friendly accommodation hosting travellers worldwide. The hostel was just great. Great location in a nice neighborhood. Staff was super friendly and could speak English very well. We cooked in the kitchen and used the laundry room, everything was super clean and well equipped. The room was big enough for us and we slept very well there.

Star Hostel Taipei Main Station offers simple but comfortable accommodation near Taipei Main Station. Close to a small marketplace and a convenience store that accepts international bank cards. The staff at the front desk are very knowledgeable about the area and can give you great recommendations. There is a storage room if you have any extra baggage you don't want to take to your room. As for the property itself, this hostel is VERY clean with a warm atmosphere. Besides the relaxing and aesthetically-pleasing common area, there is a dining room open in mornings and evenings for self-service dinner. They offer free breakfasts served in 3 intervals (8:00, 8:40, and 9:20); if you have an early flight, toast and coffee is provided in the open kitchen area that you can serve yourself. Make sure you reserve ASAP, because this property is EXTREMELY popular, especially in peak seasons!

They have coin operated washing machines and dryer, if you do not want to bring too many clothes, can do laundry there. Wash NT20 per time, detergent NT10, Dryer NT10 10mins, NT20 for 30 mins. For female solo traveler will feel comfortable to stay here.

Very close to Ximending night market, train stations and bus stops as well as convenience stores. The owner managed to give me a bottom bunk which was great. I stayed there for the whole week and tbh I would’ve stayed longer.
