Very nice hostel, very 'old school', with a large living room and a nice garden. The showers and toilets were super clean, the area felt safe. The hostel is 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal, 20 minutes walk from a Woolworth. They also serve chocolate pudding and ice cream in the evening which is super nice. The premises might look a bit old, but at the end of the day the place is clean, the area is safe and it's really good value for money and that it's what is important. Would recommend to friends!

The kind staff let me store my spare bag for a few days while I was away hiking The Able Tasman Costal Track. My return stay was even better.

Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson je 700 metrů... sitting out on the balcony where some other backpackers sat to chill out in the afternoon. Everyone I met were amazing, friendly and very interested in why my Husband and i were in Nelson. The uphill was a challenge but doable, the parking was hard as we had a big 4x4 but again it was doable. The owner of The Palace was a pretty cool down to earth person. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.
