I had a car so I was spoiled. popped into 2 different town areas for meals, drinks, shopping—the beach was 170 steps down a cement pathway through a lush garden with birds singing! I’d absolutely go back.

LYLO is one of the best I have ever stayed in in all of my 50+ countries. Very new and clean, as well as well thought of— from digital self check-in and check-out, down to the modern pod with sliding cover— it was all worth the price! Large kitchen with complete cooking tools and utensils and large shelvings to store personal food stuff (though i didn’t use kitchen). Room was of 8-bed and still felt roomy. I usually prefer rooms with windows but Lylo’s felt cozy and I had great sleep. They have an in house bar/restaurant and a tatoo and barber corner!

Hobson Lodge se nachází v centru města Auckland. Jen 2,9 km odtud je Pláž Masefield Beach a 500 metrů daleko se nachází Aotea Centre. Everything! I 100% recommend staying at Hobson Lodge. The staff and the people around here are super nice and friendly. There are many toilets and showers, and the bed it's really comfy.

I like the location as it is surrounded by eating and drinking establishments. The manager moved me to a bottom bunk for my second night, which I greatly appreciated. There is a well equipped large kitchen and a common room and plenty of showers and toilets. As with other New Zealand hostels, nothing is free. I am used to hostels always having coffee and sugar available but not in this country. They should know that it is a standard around the world to have that amenity.

The location is excellent, very close to the Sky Tower and public transport. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. The drawing on the walls are amazing.

Choice Backpackers offers self-catering accommodation in the Auckland CBD. All guests enjoy free, high-speed unlimited WiFi throughout the property. Great location right in the CBD. It's like a giant hotel turned hostel with tons of floors you have to access with the lift. Space in the room was allright, things were kept clean, lots of shared bathrooms on each floor. Kitchen has lots of utensils.
