There is amazing hiking right out the door, or it’s perfect to sit under a tree and read your book. The common spaces are super comfortable. Food is great and reasonable (cafeteria style) if you don’t want to drive back to one of the nearby towns. Most of the staff don’t speak English but it wasn’t a problem. The guy at the reception who did was so helpful with everything from choosing hikes to where to eat. He was fantastic.

We went there in the summer for a brief stop. At the entrance of the refuge you will be greated by a flock of cows, a magnificent view of the mountains and a little cosy cabin hugging the edge of the cliff. The people working their are casual, friendly and extremely helpful. The atmosphere is positive, and you feel disconnected from the fuzziness of life. It's a simple refuge that's not clamming to be something else. I would give 5 stars to the view, let alone the staff, the vibe and the peace. 100% recommended ♥️

All the beds, bathrooms and common areas were very clean and brand new. The beds are also very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we are coming to the area.
