I stayed in one of the private rooms and it was fabulous. Such a beautiful hostel/hotel. The staff are helpful, met an owner and he is lovely. The hotel was even more beautiful to me than in the pictures. Beautifully decorated, lots of details to look at and admire. I stayed here twice and I would go back again if I return to Cairo. Also, rooms were super clean, breakfast is inexpensive, healthy, and delicious! Also, neighbourhood is interesting and safe for a solo female to walk around. The house is tucked behind a gate and is a quiet place away from Cairo’s noisy traffic.

The location was amazing, right on the square of the old museum so very central in downtown Cairo. The staff was great, very kind people and helpful. I have already booked my second stay with them when I'm back in cairo after traveling around the country!

It's set on the 14th floor of a building so the vista is superior - far better than the rooftops in front of the pyramids. Mohammed, Bilal, Ibrahim and the rest of the team were amazing hosts. They made us feel so welcome and helped us with every tiny question or problem. There was no hidden agenda, they were just happy to host us. There was a delicious breakfast cooked to order in the mornings. 1000% recommend Dar!

Very good Hotel like in the photos We took the tour to Pyramids (Giza/Saqqara and Dahshur) - it was a really good and professional! Tour guide was so funny and interesting) All the staff are friendly and nice They are organized for our family very good breakfasts on the rooftop everyday! Also we take a lunch and dinner there! Amazing view with amazing staff! Also they are drive us to the Pool (It's about 3 mins from the Hotel) We will be back for sure!

I stayed with my family at Champollion Hostel this autumn, in spite of a short stay, the place left us a very good impression. It is in the Downtown in Cairo (very close to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square) in a charming building. The hostel is very clean, staff was very friendly, room was great. And very good value for money! We wholeheartedly recommend it.
