You are literally in front of the sea, like 15m. You sleep with the door open and wake up with the view. Crazy experience. The place is not touristic as there is quite of a walk to get there, but it is more that worth it. The beach is almost empty. A paradise.

The location is very close to the beach (10 mins walk) and to the bus stop to go both directions (Palomino and Tayrona El Zaino/Santa Marta). The staff is nice and helpful, the breakfast very good. The hostel offers a well equipped kitchen area and the rooms are clean and cosy. Very much recommended.

The Valley Tayrona hostel- A social jungle hostel se nachází v destinaci El Zaino a nabízí venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. Ubytování nabízí bar. Just WOW. The location is magical - road is through the jungle crossing several streams and rivers, I spotted some special birds on the way already. The hostel is gorgeous with unique view of the hills and forest, spent the afternoon staring at the view and effortlessly spotting birds. The cabinis wonderful for nature bathing,mosquito nets worked well, good facilities. Nice food, beautiful pool and common areas. Great food and coffee plus - they seem to support and promote local community which is wonderful. Absolutely loved this place and recommend it to everyone looking for a wonderful time in nature.

Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino je 47 km daleko. stayed here for two nights, in order to visit Tayrona National Park for a full day. if you come here by public bus i recommend to get off at "Plaza Tayrona" and walk 10min to the hostel. it is a quiet, peaceful little hostel next to the river (swimming is possible). good wifi, good mosquito net, hammock, common areas, cold water shower. a tienda is nearby. more food options are walking distance along the mainstreet. we did a big hike in Tayrona NP (about 17km / 10.5miles): left the hostel around 8AM, went by short bus-ride to Calabazo entrance (Bus around 3K / community fee 5K / entrance fee depends on your nationality). walked all the way to Cabo beach, then exit in the afternoon at Cañaveral gate (shuttle to Zaino 5K) and walked back to the hostel. saw different types of monkeys along the way (including red howler).
