The hostel staff deserves special praise-they are attentive, friendly, and always ready to make guests' stay as enjoyable as possible. The garden is also remarkable: well-maintained, lush, and perfect for relaxation. A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature!

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. i had to check in late due to a late night train, but the staffs were super helpful in ensuring that i manage to check in by myself. got a shared dorm all by myself and i thought the staffs were very considerate because i was pretty worried that i would wake the roommate during late night if i had one.

Highlight was having supper in the villages Restaurant Osteria Salzi (village square). Would recommend both to anyone hiking through on the Strada Alta and the Trans Swiss Route (Nr 2).
