Merinja Guest House was simply the best hotel or guest house in which I stayed in Kenya. The building itself was discretely hidden behind high walls and a delight to behold - a unique and imaginative design as were the bed-rooms. Custom-designed furniture throughout. My bedroom was attractively furnished with a high celling and a well designed mosquito net. The owner and host who was extremely knowledgeable on the local area was also very attentive and arranged for an early breakfast. The chef was also great. 10 out of 10 on all counts.

He helped us organize transport to/from Emali SGR, he booked our safari in Amboseli, and went with us on a motorbike trip to the Tanzania border. We had great Kenyan food and really enjoyed our time with the family. I can definitely recommend this homestay!
