I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lan Ha Floating Homestay, and it exceeded my expectations in several ways: Tranquil Setting: The homestay's location away from the city provided the perfect escape for my friends and me. Surrounded by serene waters, we enjoyed uninterrupted quality time, free from the usual distractions of city life. It was a blissful opportunity to connect, chat about life, and catch up with each other without any interruptions. Helpful Staff: The helper at the homestay was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Despite only speaking basic English, his willingness to assist made our stay seamless. Thanks to technology, communication barriers were easily overcome, ensuring that we could make the most of our time there without any concerns. Exceptional Hospitality: One incident truly stood out during our stay. When one of my travel companions unexpectedly started her period and realized she had forgotten to pack sanitary napkins, the homestay owner went above and beyond to help. Their kindness and quick action in providing the necessary supplies exemplified the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout our time at Lan Ha Floating Homestay. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Lan Ha Floating Homestay to anyone seeking a unique and serene stay experience on Cat Ba Island. From the peaceful surroundings to the genuine hospitality, it offers a perfect retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Host is wonderful - he helped us with absolutely everything including transport and attractions on the island. We also spent Tet holiday together eating delicious food made by his wife and singing karaoke. One of the most pleasant experiences of our trip to Vietnam.

This homestay is a great option in Cat ba. Great location in town, but at the end of an alley so the only noise came from the animals outside. The water pressure in the spacious shower was the best I have had in Vietnam. You will be well cared for during your stay. If you need help booking transportation or tours, just ask. If you need breakfast or any drinks, you can get it prepared for you. Great communication from when I booked to when the bus picked me up for Nihn Bihn.

The room is spacious with a large, comfortable bed and seating area inside and outside, which was nice). Situated in a local residential area, it is away from the noise of the center but a walk away from all the restaurants, shops and Ben Beo port. The owner lives right next door and is always available if there are any questions either in person or via WhatsApp. He arranged a motorbike for us and also can arrange tours. He speaks perfect English. We had a comfortable stay.

The location is a little away from all the night life, but that suited us( we’re in our early 60,s!) as it was quiet at night. Transport to the promenade or else where is easily organised and cheap when wanting to go out for a meal or a swim. The house is immaculate and beautifully appointed . A rooftop garden is available for use and most our our breakfasts were served there. We also enjoyed a yummy dinner that we had prepared in the cooking class with Tam on this terrace. Tam is a talented cook and all four breakfasts were authentic and different, and prepared with high quality ingredients. Tam and her husband organized all our trips and transport for us, and treated us to delicious fruit and homemade juices after we returned from an outing. It was a memorable stay with this gracious and generous family, they went out of their way to help us enjoy our time in beautiful Vietnam

    CatBaCorner is a lovely small set up with recently built rooms, a view on a pond and absolutely outstanding welcome and service by owner Phuong. The room is large enough, the beds comfy, sitting area outside etc. All simple, but tastefully done. Everyday another breakfast, all yummy. Phuong arranged our laundry, a scooter and tips where to eat/ go as well as our bus ride to Ninh Binh. She is the most lovely host there is! The homestay is a short 5 minute scooter drive from the busy town center.

    Very nice homestay in quiet, beautiful area. It's a bit remote, but with the motorbike it's very easy to get around. Especially the entry to the National Park trails is very close by. Super nice host family, spacious and well equipped room (wardrobe and a very good hairdryer, ac, bathroom amenities, ...) and good food in the restaurant! And many cute animals around ;) We enjoyed our stay here so much, that we stayed 2 nights more than originally planned, cảm ơn!

    Great family hosts, very friendly & helped us with everything we needed. Tasty banana pancake at breakfast and good value room compared to other homestays on cat ba. Rented a bike from them and had laundry done, all went smoothly. We liked the location as it was quieter and among the locals. Means there is a short walk to the center, 10 minutes down a hill.

    It was in a great location and one of the cleanest places we stayed in Vietnam. The host family were amazing helping us with information about the island, pick up and drop offs and booking our bus back to Hanoi. My husband and I did the cooking class with Tam and it was fantastic. We rented a scooter from the Homestay to tour around the island and had delicious breakfast and dinners outside on the roof top with a view of the mountains.

    This is a really lovely Homestay, we felt very welcome into their home and the family are very kind. The breakfast was great too! The location is a walk away from the main part of town, but we enjoyed it as it felt more like a locals area, and there were good restaurants and bars round there. Highly recommend.
